Anonymous Coward User ID: 1032222 United States 10/18/2010 05:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | hahaha Damn those guys are smart. They found yet ANOTHER way to rob the taxpayers of all their money. "Okay guys, we can't do that whole derivative bullshit again.. what else can we do?" "How about we foreclose on everyone we can as fast as we can without ever looking over the documents? That way we crush the market and when the government finally figures it out, we'll say 'If you stop us, there will be riots in the street and martial law!'" "Brilliant. You'll get the first bonus when we get this new bailout!" "Sweet, I need a new yacht. 200' are soooo last year!" |

Jenn++ User ID: 951944 United States 10/18/2010 07:48 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is merely another bandaid to fix cut artery. The entire world's financial system is awash in fraudulently rated mortgage backed securities, tungsten salted fake gold bars, and official corporate annual reports that are nothing more than smoke and mirrors. The whole problem is the banks sold the world about a quarter quadrillion dollars in toxic waste junk bonds that they now cannot sell. The government printing money like never before in history and is just praying we somehow come out of this financial crisis before the world discovers just how much has been printed and the dollar does a death spiral. It's almost game over now, the wheels are coming off early in 2011. Got silver? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 776945 Canada 10/18/2010 08:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In the midst of this, we got a GLP watch dog reporting on that pesky House Bill 4646 requiring a 1% tax on every bank deposit/transaction, including direct deposits, which involves all transactions in the stock market as well, and will be a windfall for the banks. This country is broke, and the Fed and big banks are coming after what little we have to postone the inevitable. Foreclosures, increased taxes, our retirement funds, insurance monies, etc., etc. We must keep watch over this outrage until Dec. 23 and beyond if Congress extends the deadline for passage. . |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 973217Yes, and unfortunately it reflects back to a time when there at least seemed to be a minimum effort to check links and reinforces GLP used to have a bit of credibility with breaking stories. Given the immediacy of the economic situation and some examples of things I've seen pinned over the last couple days, this place is simply becoming too unreliable to have the time to sort through all the crap. |
