Woman buys foreclosed home, two days later she finds it demolished
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) - When Susan Tuske scored a great deal on a foreclosed house she had big plans for a home makeover. The problem is, two days after she bought it wrecking crews tore it down.

Oakland County Treasurer Andy Meisner says what happened to Tuske is a lesson for anyone looking to cash in on real estate.

Tuske says she purchased the house on Renselaer Street near 8 Mile in Farmington Hills at a foreclosure auction last week for only $1,000. She knew the place was a fixer-upper, but Tuske thought it was manageable.

Saturday, she drove her mother by her new digs and found a bulldozer tearing it down. Tuske was sent into an emotional tailspin and begged workers to stop.

That does suck. But generally if you buy a property that is condemned you do need to call around and make sure no one is about to demo it.

Simply the fact that "it caught fire" should be enough to alert anyone buying it that well... ... you know what some people are just stupid.
