TWO COMPARTMENTS (Luke 16:22-24). Quoting: Susie 973323This story in Luke is a parable. Both Matthew 13 and Mark 4 tell us He didn't teach without them. If it were a real account, what kind of explanation do we have for a man on fire holding a conversation - one in which he requests a mere finger-tip worth of water?! The Rich Man is Judah, and the "Lazarus" is Abraham's steward Eleazar. It's a story further illustrating the chapter's theme of stewardship.
