Love Husky's but unless they are properly trained, they are diggers, escape artists, and a bit neurotic.

But personally I would not own either one, because my allergies cannot handle long haired dogs anymore.

LOL... I have a purebred female Red Husky, about a year old who looks about like your picture without the nose stripe.

She is hte kindest, gentlest, most lovingest dog I have ever had. She's perfectly housetrained. Every night we sit on the sofa and share a bowl of bite-sized shredded wheat and yogurt then go to bed.

She sleeps on the corner of my bed closest to the door protecting me... though she's too kind hearted to do any good. She will not wake me up but quitely sit there in the morning. If I open my eyes though whe will about lick me to death. She has no dog odors either.

On the other hand, I'll take her to the mountains and snow which she abslutely loves!! She requires about 3-4 hours of running, play, and attention every day. If not, she gets micheivious... mishceivious... devious.

She has seperation anxiety pretty bad and is truly heartbreaking to watch her when I drive off. She can get over a six foot fence or dig under it and escpape. Once, she spent hours in a pouring rain digging out a gravelly/rocky esscape under the fence. I got home just as she was about to leave.

She was COVERED in mud. It was hilarious but she was soooo happy to see me. Anyway, if you get a Husky, you'll have one of the best dogs ever... but you better have time and energy for it.
