The footage you claim to have studied 'years ago' was never a part of the final footage of the film. It was released as extras, ie footage cuttings found after the film had its final cut.

I don't think the person is holding anything. It is just the position of the hand. If you watch closely as the scene begins to fade he/she is closing the hand.

Look at the blowup of the person at the end of the footage. That is the scowl of a man and the large hands and nose of a man.

That is no woman.

There's about a half second when she turns to the side. It definitely appears to me she is holding on to a squarish black object.

She's just a camera shy woman covering her face away from the camera, covered up with a hat & coat, that's all. No sign of any equipment, she's just holding her hand there. Maybe she's got ear ache, tooth-ache, neck ache, or she's more likely sheilding her eyes from the extremely bright lights that must have been lit at the time of shooting. They would have blinded her, so she just put her hand up to her eyes.
Radio equipment existed in those days, after all telephones existed too, so it's quite possible she's 'maybe?' holding up a small speaker/mic transceiver up to her ear, a small one at that, & communicating by 2 way-radio to another nearby radio transciever? The equipment would have been bulky back then. She's got a big coat on, she could be lugging about tons of gear to work it, big transformers, valves, batteries, and electronics. Oh.. & an ariel. Didn't the police, esp: senior police have radio telephones in their cars back then? They did, cos you see them in old 20s movies, so maybe she's using a wireless telephone working off batteries & valves?! I didn't notice if she was dragging a telephone lead or not. The only towers that existed then.. were the experimental Tesla Towers. It's quite possible she could've accidently travelled in time, but she would've been saying.. 'hello! hello.. hello.. are you there..? I think we're losing the signal..! hello!' but you wouldn't have heard her saying that cos there was no sound. Wake up! I've stopped typing now..

At the time this was filmed women did not want to work with Chaplin. He had "roving hands". They used men as stand-ins. The reason he is holding up his hand is to hide the fact that he is not a woman.

it can,t be a cell phone,it just wouldn,t work. no cell tower,s . what you guy,s never heard of dick tracy technology, it existed for the elite back then, they have alwy,s been way ahead of the curve. you are dealing with either private proprietory technology, ie walki talki,s type configuration ie dick tracy tech. it was available at this time, and being used within intelligence circles.there is no mystery here, unless you live in sheepville, and your mind is successfully occulted.

It is either

a) A ghost of some sorts. Since 'time' does not exist in 4th density - and only appears to exist in our reality called 3rd density earth, So you do the math here.

b) Since time is an illusion in the 3rd density of the 3rd dimension paradigm we are in this not a ghost or a 'time traveler' but a fracture of time occurring. Its like a radio station attenuation leaking into another.

c) Alien technology as perceived in earth calendar time to be futuristic. So an alien talking on a device.

d) A gay cross dresser using a dildo shaped like a phone to try and be cool

There's the shadow of her hand and then there is a triangular shadow protruding from the shadow of her hand, and that is the shadow of a squarish/rectangular object held in her hand.

Don't be silly. If they are time travelers they could have contacted the elites of that time and told them how to set up a network to make mobile cell phones usable. They didn't have to tell the sheeple anything. Look today. What info are they giving the sheeple? CRUMBS.

Time travel has been possible for many years and available as a luxury to those who can afford it. The woman is clearly wealthy and probably paid a lot of money (or made several sacrifices) to go back and to this time period. People have been traveling back and forth in time since the 60´s.

I have been in electronics all my life. Monochrome Tubes of that era used on the average 65,000 volts to power them and the high voltage tubes produced x-rays. They didn't replace the horizontal output tube until the mid 70s. The Oscilliscope tube was 5 inches in Diameter and length was some 18 inches.. and weighted like 220 lbs. The 1XA3 tube was probably one of the smallest of that time and it is about 2 inches high and 1/2 inch in Diameter. There is no way that, that technology existed. The smallest triode that I am aware of is 1.5 inches in diameter.
The horizontal and vertical controls of that era used minimum of three triodes in each. Dual triodes existed but that cut it down to four tubes. Then you are not even talking picture/video amplifier, sound amplifier, tuner assembily.
So I ask

First of all if real this is most likely an intelligence operative using technology far ahead of time. We've been aware how far advanced black-op technology has been for so long now. Rather than a mobile phone I initially wondered if it was a walkie talkie system. The walkie talkie was invented by the Galvin Manufacturing Company in 1940 which is twelve years after this video's filming date of 1928. I would also believe that the first systems would be a lot larger than whats being used in the footage. We all know that in order to use cell phones you need a cell network set up and in some locations this is almost useless even today. Just notice all those Cell transponders around you (or should we say GWEN towers). There would be no wide spread transponder network back then to use a mobile phone if this was any kind of time traveller. The phone would only respond in the time when its transponder network was available. I must agree that this footage is strange and certainly usurps Star Trek as the first conditioning social engineerer to the cell phone society we're in today.

On July 2, 1928, America's first TV station went on the air. W3XK began broadcasting from suburban Washington, D.C.

That blowup photo looks like he was only 3 fingers.

If she is a time traveler how do you know she is the only one in that time frame?

How do you know she isn't in contact with governments of that time?

And we don't know if that's a mobile phone she is using. It could be a different communication device.

Maybe he was bringing technology from the future.
