I've been hearing this rumor for a long time. While it is certain that they do in fact have an extremely large library kept from the public, no one has ever produced anything of this nature from it.

There was a certain text from the Nag Hammadi that is also rumored to be kept from the public as well because it would completely disrupt Christianity as we know it today. I don't the truth of that rumor.

That's the point. No one has any ancient texts, smuggled out of the Vatican, revealing the "great lie". Either this is typical GLP fiction B.S. and the texts never existed or this is typical GLP fiction B.S. and any texts that did exist were destroyed centuries ago.

Think about this nonsense for a moment, assuming some ancient text discrediting Christianity ever existed. The OP says the Vatican had the ancient texts up until at least recently. That's all you need to hear to shout B.S. Here's how the history of the text would have had to go...

1.Texts are written with proof that invalidates Christianity centuries ago.

2.Vatican/Church of Rome some how get a hold of said ancient texts early enough in history to head off any damage.

3.The Vatican's next decision is, "I know these text will expose us as a fraud and ruin us if they ever see the light of day, but lets just keep them in the basement instead of destroying them immediately."

Not entirely so. They most likely plan to discredit ALL of Christianity as, most Protestants don't realize how much of their own doctrines are built on Catholic lies. Then, they just need to be set in place to control the new world religion that will take Christianity's place. Catholicism is just repackaged Babylonian sun god worship anyway - they'll simply repackage it again built on the "new truths".
