Guess what youngster, that geezer and others like him have a very powerful voice and are a huge voting block. By the way, they have been paying a percentage of their earnings into medicare all their working lives, so youngsters like you would not have to pay for all of their parents' medical bills and could instead sit in their mom's basement and play video games and collect unemployment or disability.

There is a reason communist movements tend to ridicule then end up slaughtering large numbers of persons over 50. They do this everytime.

Communism is less about the ideology and more about looting whatever country they are taking over. By killing off the older people, they are saving the money that would otherwise have been paid out as pensions and healthcare (this really applies to modern America), many in this age group have accumulated money which is a great source of loot for the PTB, plus these people were still around before the major brainwashing started, when things were still somewhat normal and free, so they are considered undesirables to the max to keep around.

I am young enough that in a collapse type of condition I actually have a chance of surviving. I live in the country and was wise enough to prepare for a lot of things. I could go to "zero cash" tomorrow and still be able to take care of myself for years.

On the other hand these older people that live in cities or burb type areas that live on Social Security or a pension or fixed return from investments that worked for THEIR ENTIRE FRICKING LIVES believing the lies they were old for decades of their hard work....

They see the possibility of all these income sources going POOF overnight. That scares the hell out of them and it should. Short of family protecting them in a SHTF type event they will be one of the first groups to fall. They will be robbed and murdered by everyone form the hood kids that will form packs to organized gangs and middle aged adults that didn't have the sense to prepare themselves.

Damn right they are awake because they know that at any moment their lives could go from normal and safe to DEAD in weeks.

It will come down to the children. Because my parents were not smart enough to prepare and my dad just died last year I now have the personal responsibility of caring for my 65 year old mother. I already have her supplies set aside and a place to bring her when it goes down. Thankfully she is just 3.5 hours away from me so she will be easy to go pick up and bring here (if she could not drive herself for some reason).

But *I* (only child as well) have accepted what must be done and I will step up to do it. I do like to point out I have been doing "fun things with her" to get her prepared without her being told what exactly I am up to. For example, she loves to go shooting with me now and she is damn accurate with everything from a .45 ACP to my Socom II .308 assault rifle. She LOVES to go to the range and actually requests it of me. LOL. She also now carries a concealed 9mm Springfield EMP (All for protecting from thugs of course).

Unfortunately I think many children will view their parents as a burden and ditch them to save their own asses .. (Hell even in good times look how many people abandon their parents into "homes" just to get rid of them so they can so work their sheople jobs and follow the lies)

It pisses me off when people can't appreciate what old people have to offer. They have seen a lot and been through a lot and have even sacrificed a lot. The only thing with old folks is sometimes it takes a lot of patience and such to understand why teaching them "technology" is so hard sometimes. I used to tell my father he was a "Technopoligic" because I would fix his Windows machine to just have him wipe it out somehow in 3-6 months... LOL

probaly couldnt afford his meds, and remember all that money they gave to privite companies, who went out and gave big parties and bonus's out, also the President renting that huge hotel in India, but cant give to the older Americans who paid into the system all their lives, Look at all the waste the government spends, trillions and it goes in our govenments pockets, hardly giving enough to keep the disabled and elderly alive, SSI checks arent even enough to pay rent anymore, and they say there was no cost of living for what 5 years now, but they give there selves cost of living increases.
