I lived in Ohio and they sold all kind of scratch off tickets, I knew of several people who did and got alot of $5, less $10 , several prpbably 10 $20's one $50, I remember they were out more than they won, all of them, they never got a $500 or a $100, so like anything lottery people know what they are doing ,they are there to make money off you .

They used to always sell the winning tickets up by Cleveland , always.

My aunt won $1 million in the Florida lottery but after 10 years she ended up divorced and completely broke.

You can read the winners with x-ray machines. All the big winners are pulled out. Don't waste your money.

I played the pick three with the same 3 numbers in any order everyday for about a year and broke even. Never won more than $20 on a scratch.

Yes, you CAN, in fact, win BIG. My ex boss has won BIG three times. He just kept investing more and more money into playing after winning the first time, thus making himself richer and richer. A quite simple but effective method really. I wouldn't say that playing the lottery is a complete waste of money. Try telling that to someone that has profited from it.

I have for the set for life California tickets. Every roll is worth 400 dollars . I bought total of 5 rolls just for the hell of it and loose 200 hundred dollars per roll so don't do it. Just think so Many retail stores why are you so special that you actually gonna hit the jackpot just buy one ticket and hope for the best. Don't be like me foolish and thinking that I had s better chance just because I bought way more . Oh and I'm rich and got disposable income so haha just kidding

i let you in on a secret that might improve your odds!

i used to sell them in my business for over 10 years and sold a lot of them. my store was way up there in the lotto sale. people used to come in and buy them like crazy some even by the rolls. during all the 10 years we had maybe 5-8 big prizes, 10K and up and few 1k-5K.

most rolls were dud. in every book or roll there is one big prize but not big enough to cover your losses. buying the whole roll will return 30% to 50% at most 90% of the times.

here is the big secret, most people when they hit on a ticket they run back to the same store and cash in their winning or scratch the ticket right there moan about how they always loose, knowing what roll has had hit or not one could tell which roll is sweet for picking and i was very good at it, i could have predicted within + - 10 ticket where the big hit is due. get to know your store clerk and improve your odds or yet better save your money and put it to a better use.

Clerks will often watch the rolls and when the roll is about to run out and there has been very few winners they will buy the last of the roll and collect *your* would-be winnings.

You ever notice that it is always some good for nothing rich fuck that wins? Why? Because they have luck and thats why they were ALREADY well off. The loser will continue to do so in all venues.

No offense OP but if strategically trying to beat scratch offs is your plan to make $$ then you could use a new plan.

what is done and works IS take a look at all the rolls and only buy 3 scratch off tickets from either the ones that are basically just started as in "new" or 3 from a roll that is nearing the end.

Obviously the state is trying make money not lose it. Theyre not going to pay out more than their profit unless there is a big winner in the role.

Just save your money, bro. Scratch-off tickets are a scam. Sure, you might get lucky and hit a RARE $500+ winner, but the odds are extremely against that happening.

Oh, and you won't win shit by playing dollar tickets. The real payouts are on the $5 and $10 tickets...
