Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1133361Like big ones like millions? Their lives eventually tend to end up bad, its a curse. My aunt won $1 million in the Florida lottery but after 10 years she ended up divorced and completely broke. |

Play-mold User ID: 2823378 Poland 10/07/2011 03:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yes, you CAN, in fact, win BIG. My ex boss has won BIG three times. He just kept investing more and more money into playing after winning the first time, thus making himself richer and richer. A quite simple but effective method really. I wouldn't say that playing the lottery is a complete waste of money. Try telling that to someone that has profited from it. ..and for all the people whose lives were "ruined" because they became financially suited for life..they are/were obviously dumbasses who never deserved it or knew how to manage their dreams correctly to begin with. If I ever won big I'd use it to help fund my goal in life. Money, like firearms, are only as evil and corrupt of the beholder. I say PLAY THE LOTTERY. Anyone that plays the lottery are broke anyway.. People say "save" your money and not play the lottery. There is no "saving" money when you don't make enough as it is. Fuck it, gamble a little. You never know. What have you got to lose anyway..? Absolutely nothing. |

I bought total of 5 rolls just for the hell of it and loose 200 hundred dollars per roll so don't do it. Just think so Many retail stores why are you so special that you actually gonna hit the jackpot just buy one ticket and hope for the best. Don't be like me foolish and thinking that I had s better chance just because I bought way more . Oh and I'm rich and got disposable income so haha just kidding |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1542480 United States 10/08/2011 08:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i let you in on a secret that might improve your odds! i used to sell them in my business for over 10 years and sold a lot of them. my store was way up there in the lotto sale. people used to come in and buy them like crazy some even by the rolls. during all the 10 years we had maybe 5-8 big prizes, 10K and up and few 1k-5K. most rolls were dud. in every book or roll there is one big prize but not big enough to cover your losses. buying the whole roll will return 30% to 50% at most 90% of the times. here is the big secret, most people when they hit on a ticket they run back to the same store and cash in their winning or scratch the ticket right there moan about how they always loose, knowing what roll has had hit or not one could tell which roll is sweet for picking and i was very good at it, i could have predicted within + - 10 ticket where the big hit is due. get to know your store clerk and improve your odds or yet better save your money and put it to a better use. good luck |

Loafy User ID: 1257050 United States 10/08/2011 08:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No offense OP but if strategically trying to beat scratch offs is your plan to make $$ then you could use a new plan. And seriously people who say if you buy a whole role you are likely to break even... give me break you really can't think that is true do you? I like the idea of buying a ticket here or there for entertainment value so if this is what you are doing then all the best and good luck. Loafy of Bread |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1169966 United States 10/08/2011 09:21 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Anyone ever buy a whole roll of these? If so did you break even, lose money or gain money? Quoting: Dr.Green Thumb I was thinking of trying it with a brand that has a lot of winners left in it. Was wondering your opinions and if anyone has ever tried it! Thanks@!@ what is done and works IS take a look at all the rolls and only buy 3 scratch off tickets from either the ones that are basically just started as in "new" or 3 from a roll that is nearing the end. don't blow your money on the shytes but as your own economy allows try it. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1386821 United States 02/09/2012 02:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just save your money, bro. Scratch-off tickets are a scam. Sure, you might get lucky and hit a RARE $500+ winner, but the odds are extremely against that happening. Oh, and you won't win shit by playing dollar tickets. The real payouts are on the $5 and $10 tickets... |
