Lol.. Love your replies. A question though, why are you on a conspiracy theories forum if you (like it seems to me) are basing your statements with scientific facts? (No offense, just wondering).

1117 is building up for the showdown soon to come. Check the charts. Fine stable line going across. We have reached the point of stability where the energy cant stabalize and begin to gain momentum and friction for its last erruption for this cycle. This happened also on July 30-31. Stabalized line before the last CME we had which was on Aug 1 of this year. Its going as planned and as usual pattern. Im not predicting any doom here or a big flare. But we will see another big and significant eruption before the days over. Maybe a M flare. The way its been rocking from B to C tells me it probly wont jump no higher then an M. If it stabalized a little in between low C and high B, we could expect an X. But thats just my theory. Watch for a big erruption within the next id say 4-6 hours.

Because not everything here is to do with conspiracy, science brings us the comfort of knowing 'thinking that we know'.

Besides it is a thread about the sun - in a way, and the best way to explain things that are seen through scientific instruments is with scientific 'facts' (pliable as they are).

Ive noticed that too last night. There is about a 2+ hours gap in photos from last night. it seemed like a lot fo activity was happening last night also. The photos just arent there.

A massive darkness is moving over the little town, and the wind has kicked up bigtime; itis raining; the air is getting a chill; the wind is whistling through the windows; the rain is smashing against the West windows; itis getting darker; itis pouring hard [link to www.weather.com] drinking beer; gotta go p . . .

that's how this thread started. I checked SOHO, saw they had a blackout, went to STREO and saw the blast in Earth's direction. SOHO's camera faces dead on to the sun. they withheld the frames with debris that came toward the camera...as usual...ffs

5:34: Started out for a few minutes as torrential, but settled down to a heavy rain that Florida needs for their aquifers; now has turned into a drizzle; i hear sirens . . . the cars are driving normally by. Strange that a Fall rain should act as a Spring shower . . . 5:47. Water is rushing down the side of the road; slowed down suddenly. 5:51 just a sprinkle now, and itis somewhat lighter/brighter out there . . .

It will barely graze us.

I think something important to keep in mind here might be, that whether or not this specific event has any real effects is not the main issue. That Geryl's calculations are proving to be exceedingly accurate may however be. His final conclusions are by any definition truly catastrophic..
