Lol, if this was Earth facing, after eruption, we wouldn't be here chatting now,lmao. 15 minutes to electron impact, 24 to 48 for heavy element impact. I couldn't see the magnetosphere weathering an impact of this size.

8 minutes to x-ray impact, if there was a flare - no flash on the EIT images make that unlikely, but not impossible - wouldn't of been above a C class flare - No problem there.

That rules out a large proton storm as well, and the change in the electron count would also not really be noticable against background noise, so no problems there.

This rules out 'immediate to short term' effects from the flare, if there was one.

Now onto the longer term (24-96 hours) from the velocity of the blast looks like if it was pointed at us would take around 78 hours to arrive, so mid velocity, the density would drop significantly.

Can't say much about the magnetic properties of it but very highly likely it is not swung hugely one way or the other.

What we have here then is no different to what we get hit by a lot each year due to coronal holes solar particle stream.

So no big geomagnetic storm, likely Kp6 max.

To someone not paying any attention to these things, they won't notice anything different at all if it did hit.

And by the way.. It's actually a pretty medium sized cme.

Don't want to step on your toes here or anything - but that is no-where near what could be considered a 'kill shot', our computers, satellites, power... everything would be unaffected.
