I agree. As elusive as they seem to be, I imagine we would barely be realizing they are invading until we were already conquered, if that was their goal. If they wanted to just wipe us out, I'd expect a DNA specific weapon.

They should merely be represented as round or ovoid shapes that move real fast and can dish out extremely destructive energy at will with nothing to stop them.....If they so choose.
