The closest quake in time to this tremor was the 5.8 in New Guinea at 0639 UTC but it shouldn't have that kind if effect in such far reaching helicorders.

Doesn't this thing present in the form of an S-wave when a large earthquake happens and it circulates seismographs around the globe?

It looks similar to that, but I can't find anything of relevance for earthquakes at that time at the moment. Can someone do a little more digging on this?

Hmmmm. interesting.. anyone else have a theory on this? Could it have been the P wave from this event?
