NASA scientists admit the ocean is warming with the aid of volcanic eruptions.


"The two main causes of sea level rise are melting of Earth’s frozen landscapes—ice sheets, ice caps, and glaciers—and thermal expansion. Water expands when it absorbs heat. If you add the amount of thermal expansion to the amount of melting, it should equal the observed sea level rise, but somehow, it never did."

“When scientists added these terms, the sum was always less than the observed sea level rise measured by tide gauges and satellite altimeters. It’s like one plus one did not equal two,” says Domingues.

What we found was that ocean heating was larger than scientists previously thought, and so the contribution of thermal expansion to sea level rise was actually 50 percent larger than previous estimates.”

They are also exploring how volcanic eruptions influence ocean heating,

models that include volcanic forcing are more realistic in terms of decadal variability

“This kind of result tells us volcanic forcing is important, but that we don’t totally understand it yet.”

When the Ice Age was ongoing, volcanism was commonplace in many parts of the world (where there are “extinct” or active volcanos, such as Santorini and Etna in the Mediterranean), and this is proven by the many layers of ash discovered within bore holes into the polar icepacks, some of which, after having been compressed by tons of overlying snow and ice for many centuries, are a centimeter thick, so these vast layers of ash, when they accumulated, were several feet thick, undoubtedly quite the catastrophic scene, with volcanos popping and intense snowfall in the extreme latitudes, and much more rainfall in the middle latitudes, having made Egypt and the Middle East regions of lush pastures and babbling brooks, with lakes and stands of forests, when the great ancient civilizations were at their peaks.

As the Ice Age snowfall progressed, from much more global cloudcover (year ’round) at that time, the weight of the increasing layers of snow and ice on continents pushed down on those continental crusts, causing earthquakes and volcanism, hence the huge volumes of volcanic ash within the Ice Age icepacks which remain in Greenland, the Arctic, and the Antarctic.

Steve McNutt, avolcanologist at the University of Alaska, noticed that the volcano's eruptions followed a surprisingly regular pattern. Periods of activity seemed always to occur in fall or winter. Twelve of the 16 eruptions since 1973 have occurred in the autumn—four of them during the same five-day period in November. Pavlof's most recent episode, in 1996, touched off in September and peaked in December.

Researchers at the University of Cambridge in England poring over data for Sakura-jima, one of the most active volcanoes in Japan, when he noticed the volcano had a strong tendency to erupt in December, January, and February. There seemed an obvious preference for Northern Hemisphere winter eruptions for many volcanoes,"

Most of the identified seasonal volcanoes lie along the Ring of Fire. Most of the volcanoes with the greatest potential to destroy life and property in the United States also are part of the ring.

In the fall, powerful low-pressure systems march across the Aleutian Islands from west to east. As the lows move in over the Gulf of Alaska, there is less air pushing down on the water, so the local sea level rises. Meanwhile, air always moves away from high pressure toward low pressure. When high-pressure systems settle in over the Pacific Ocean, strong winds rush air toward the low pressure over the Gulf of Alaska, dragging in more water. "The net effect is that water is being pushed up against the Gulf of Alaska, and there's nowhere to escape, so it piles up," McNutt says. Sea levels at this time of year end up six inches higher than average as a result. The weight of that extra water, McNutt theorizes, triggers eruptions in the fall and winter: "According to our calculations, it's squeezing the chunk of real estate beneath the volcano and pushing the magma out like a hand on a toothpaste tube."

Because the Northern Hemisphere has significantly more landmass at middle to high latitudes than does the Southern Hemisphere, a far greater amount of snow falls on land in the northern half of our planet. As a result, more of Earth's water is locked up in snow and ice between November and February than during the rest of the year. In those months, global sea levels drop by almost half an inch, leaving less weight to push down on the ocean floor. "The resulting change in stress, we thought, might be able to trigger eruptions. Most volcanoes are located near edges of continents or are islands and so would be particularly susceptible," Mason says.

As snow, ice, and rainwater collect in the Northern Hemisphere during winter, the North Pole is pushed down a tenth of an inch. At the same time, the equator bulges out by half that much, and the entire Southern Hemisphere is pulled northward. In all, about one trillion tons of Earth's mass moves northward. "The strains are very small, much smaller than other types of strain on a local scale such as the effects of tides, but the seasonal strain is sustained over several months," Blewitt says. His paper appears to bolster Mason and Pyle's hunch that Earth's hydrologic cycle can deform the planet and perhaps nudge an unsteady volcano toward an eruption.

Michael Rampino of New York University found that some of the largest eruptions during the last 85,000 years have followed times of major climate upheaval and attendant sea-level fluctuations. Krakatau's legendary eruption in 1883 followed a decade of global cooling, for instance, as did the humongous 1912 eruption of Mount Katmai in Alaska.

This is one of my leading theories in play too.

At present ...

“72% of the Antarctic ice sheet is gaining 27 ± 29 gigatons per year.” To put this into perspective as it relates to global sea level, the authors indicate that this gain in mass is enough “to lower global sea levels by 0.08 mm year-1.” These results are very similar to the findings reported last year in Science magazine by Curt Davis and colleagues, who also used satellite altimetry measurements of Antarctica to calculate mass changes and estimated that over a similar period and found that snow and ice build-up of the Antarctic ice sheets contributed to a fall in sea level of about 0.12 mm per year.

The Antarctic has had a steady temperature decrease since records began and has reached it's furthermost extent since records began.

So what if the sudden descent into an ice age is caused by all this weight piling up on Antarctica and in the Northern hemisphere.

World War II planes that force landed on the ice cap were recently dug out of nearly 100 meters of snow and ice that had covered them.

There is only one possible way for this to happen and it goes like this ...

The sea has to become out of balance with the land, especially if it is to happen quickly, eg the sea has to be a lot warmer than the surrounding land. Normally the two would balance each other out and a warm sea would not cause ice to build up on land, however if the sea is warmed by increased volcanic activity and 90% of all volcanoes are in the sea and the land volcanoes go off at the same time, then you get the perfect recipe for a sudden ICE AGE.

The sea is warm and evaporating quickly, something there is plenty of evidence of in the world today, as we see from the increased world wide flooding. There is also scientific evidence that the sea is being warmed by increased volcanic activity, now all that has to happen is for a few huge land volcanoes to go off and they will block the suns ability to warm this planet normally and then you get the feed back system going into hyper-drive.

Huge blizzards will rage around around the planet and the ice will be laid down so quickly you will hardly believe it.

The earth has a history of this without question. Volcanoes will reign once again. The weather will go cold and the skies dark. It's just a matter of time.

I think you should be more concerned by the disruption of the flow of the North Atlantic current. If that continues like it is doing after the BP disaster, it´s "The Day After Tomorrow".

I must have talked to over a thousand victims in the last 8 years or so who have experienced the same temporary crippling from "non-lethal" weapons.

We are not sure if it comes from sats, drones, or hang-held devices, but we think they have the capability to direct it at you from many sources -- including piggy-backing in on your house wiring.
