Police Officer Kicks K9 Partner To Death

Disgusting. Where was he found not guilty if they are still doing an internal affairs investigation, Miami-Dade Police are still investigating and the trial is set for Dec 17th?

This is the second post today about a K-9 dog that died as a result of police handling.

There simply is no excuse for mistreating an animal.

I agree but: What about Flies? Mosquitos? Bugs?

Don't the girls and boys in Blue always try to claim that a K9 'officer' is the same as a human officer - and that if a citizen injures or kills a K9 it is the same as injuring or killing a cop?

So why isn't this Dade Co shitbird up on Capital Murder charges for intentionally taking the life of a cop?

At the very least he should be imprisoned for being a fucking crazy nut.

Updated article: This cop recently was cleared by a jury (not that he did nothing wrong, even some fellow officers turned against him, which is VERY rare in law enforcement).However, the article says that some officers at the courthouse applauded the officer (which is why the "good cops" are so bad, they stick up for the bad ones). But, it was "just a freak training accident"!

The dog yelped and died of a disruption to his heart rhythm, Perez said. She downplayed Hartman's contention that Duke posed a threat to Cockfield. Several officers who testified against Cockfield did, too.

``Not one single witness who sat here said that Duke was attacking him,'' Perez told jurors Friday.

But Hartman argued the case was a ``freak training accident,'' and that Cockfield was simply defending himself from an overaggressive, dangerous dog. His methods were standard training for K-9 officers, he said.

Things like this should be pinned ... we shouldn't look away and ignore things like this. Actually, we have for too long, it's time to get over the "cops are heroes" nonsense and see them for what they really are : the biggest criminal street gang in the country.

It is insane that police can sick a dog on you and if you defend yourself you are charged with a criminal act.
Dogs are not people, and a badge doesn't give the wearer any special rights under the Constitution anyway, which is clear that laws apply to all equally.

It will be interesting to see if the laws protecting police dogs are enforced against an officer.

Like I said, it is insane that police are illegally using dogs to attack people and when the person kills the dog he's charged with murdering a police officer. It;s just plain retarded.

The correct punishment for this...they should get this officer and stone him to death. I'm sure it would be well accepted if that kind of justice was served on authority figures. Would fill the world with more justice.

If anyone of you ever find yourself mixed up in being at the wrong place at the wrong time and a k9 dog attacks you for no apparent reason whatever:

Go ahead and see what happened if you start violently kicking it.

You will be shot at best, killed at worst. If you survive you will then have to answer to the court for assault and battery on a police officer.
