I'll toss in a couple of ideas here as well...
1. Physical as well as mental changes: Going with the observer theory of quantum physics, if we have a mass change of consciousness then it would stand to reason that the observational shift will lead not only to internal perceptual changes, but that such changes will manifest into our physical existence.
2. DNA is already prepping: With the rise of neurodiverse individuals (autism, indigo/chrystal, ADD/ADHD, etc.), is the human genome preparing itself for this coming shift? Could it be that those who have overclocked sensory perception/integration and have difficulty functioning in the current paradigm will be best equipped for existence in the new model?

Great thread and topic, SS. If your existence was tied and to - and dependent upon - maintaining normalcy and predictability, we would be waiting a very long time for any scientifically validated research concerning observed DNA changes to be made public. Establishment science serves an agenda of population management. Change along the lines of which you've presented is something deeply threatening to types who attempt to control and manage. The obvious implications of it for these types whom will be shown to not be in control are far ranging - including the suppression of observed, expansive changes in DNA that would demonstrate their lack of control over the human being. If anything were published, they would likely call these changes deliterious to human beings and would seek to develop medical counter measures to try to thwart human development.
For instance, how are the 'psychological conditions' above that deviate from the 'norm' dealt with? The rise of the psychiatric industry with all its 'tools of the trade' is one way it's dealt with.
So, I wouldn't discount #2 or simply relegate it to mere speculation given the political and social context we're dealing with. They even drop hints that they know manifested DNA is subject to change and, by extension, expresses itself in accordance with the overall context of birth (familial, environmental, etc); hence their work to program and thwart right from birth via negative imprinting, reiforcement, and drugging to stunt expansive genetic expression.
