If everyone is required to vote for a certain thing, nothing would be changed or passed into law. Those that voted for Obama, voted for free health care. It wasn't like he kept it a secret or something, quite the contrary, as it was part of his platform.

What people need to realise is, that goverments are made by people and individuals. Same goes for the companies that lobby and kill any form of democracy.
