Re: souls in Purgatory - November is set aside to remember them - share your comments and prayers
Non-Catholic NDE:

Gradually, things began to clear, and I had a sense of being on the outskirts of the planet. Like some weightless wisp, I stopped at a point outside the Earth’s envelope, and was aware of it behind me, over my shoulder. Yet, I had no shoulder I needed to look over. It was as if I were vision only and wherever I’d turn my attention is where I’d see.

I was slightly confused. This isn’t how it had gone before. I recalled distinctly moving thru a Void and, once my priorities were revealed, inexorably drawn to the LIGHT. But, here I was, come to a complete standstill outside the Earth’s atmosphere and just hanging boundless. What’s a fella ta do?

I turned my vision eyes to look about me and became aware of a group of White Light Beings hovering in space. They were luminescent and appeared less transparent than I felt, with something of a cocoon like shape, reminding me of Casper, the friendly ghost, but longer and leaner. They were spread out a bit and were all observing the planet. I sensed these White Light Beings watched the melodrama unfold in the desert and, perhaps, contributed their collective focus on the crystal I’d been given.

I just knew these things with my “unearthed awareness,” resulting from the expansion ensuing upon departure from a body, or moving beyond the Earth’s aura. I also felt a little shocked as one of them disengaged Himself from the group observations and began moving toward me. I’d not gone as far this time as in my previous NDE; I had come up short of where I’d Intended to go and this whole deal was new. As He approached, I, with more of a question attached than a statement, said, “Love?”.

His immediate reply gave me a sense of peace and of being a bit of a dunce too. “Of course,” He casually said.

I’d impulsed this question from an openness that wasn’t only asking him if he knew IT, but challenging Him, in His Heart of Heart's, if he represented IT, as well. There was no doubt in the purity of his reply when he responded, "Yes.".

I impulsed a query along the lines of, “Well, what are you doin' here?”

His response was, ” We’re the first to arrive... there’s more on the way.”

And there was no mistaking it. He, and I did sense he was decidedly male, was saying something was going to happen. From wherever He and His fellow Light Beings had come from that was Home to Them, more were coming. I distinctly got the impression great masses of these Beings were on the way, and not merely a handful.

This was a good thing. It was like the feeling one gets when a rescue vessel pulls along side a ship in distress. “How do They do that?” I queried.

“It’s a form of electromagnetism utilizing Intention and Attention to travel between planets and stars,” He impulsed.

Thoughts would form in my awareness as we communicated. It was like mental telepathy, yet more. Pictures of information, something like holographic transmissions, were taking place in such a freed up means of communication that effortlessness seems an appropriate word to define it. There was nothing to hide, nor anything hidden.

Understanding what I had been told, I cast my attention toward a grouping of stars feeling to be off too my left. By placing my Attention in that particular quadrant, and then simply releasing it and Intending to go, I felt a ‘drawing toward” begin. It was delightful. and I began thinking of how this must be the way magnets attract one another; the additional kick to get the whole deal in motion was releasing the allowance to move.

I began a “directed drift” in the area I had placed my Intention-Attention and Desire and knew I would soon to be traveling at speeds far greater than any imagined. I wanted to give this thing a practice run and began applying the lessons I’d been given. I could feel a build up of magnetic energy occurring within me, which I somehow knew was integral to the experience. Sorta like watching the Starship Enterprise prepare for warp drive. It drifts a bit, aligns it’s corridor, then engages warp speed. Yet with this experience, I sensed it to be stepped up into the arena of Stardrive.

My thoughts were already moving at the speed of light. I began a torrential out pouring of enthusiastic scientific inquiry. “Well, if this does this, and it goes like this, than that must be like that, and then it must be like this, and if it works like that, then it must go something like,” I gushed. Images, scientific thoughts on the nature of magnets, coupled with philosophical meanderings of the energetics involved in Desire, Attention, and Intention, flooded thru my awareness in an exhilarating hyper leap of new found understandings and metaphysical connections. I was good to go.

"Wait”, the Light Being pulsed, “you must go back”.

And I knew he was right. There wasn’t anything to argue about. It was the way It Was supposed to be, and although I did long to stay, I turned my attention back toward Earth, and was immediately reunited with my physical body.

The beliefs of the experiencer impact the experience. Your Catholic friends want Purgatory and hell, so they are given
it.

But...isn't this saying each person's belief determines what happens to them? How can that be?

It determines their initial experiences.

And what do you mean "how can this be?" How can it not be?

In all of my NDEs, that was one thing that I did learn. The more indoctrinated in religion I became, the more closely my NDEs began to match my expectations, UNTIL I recognized the pattern and questioned it.

Do a lot more research, and you'll learn that there are extremely few to almost no cases at all where people have NDEs that do not remotely match anything they've encountered IN THEIR CULTURE.

You won't see Hindus having NDEs that support Islam in the absence of them having been introduced to it. You won't find Muslims having NDEs that support Satanism in the absence of them having been introduced to it. You won't find Buddhists having NDEs that support Christianity in the absence of them having been introduced to it.

You will find that NDEs appear to most often support social constructs of the experiencer-- with notable exceptions being children. This is mainly because children have often been less exposed to, or have not yet accepted unequivocally, the religions they have been exposed to.

This is because God finds us where we are. When we have NDEs, they are comfort for us. So they are given to us in a supportive manner. The longer we remain within them, though, the more they begin to resolve themselves towards ultimate truth. The more they repeat, the more they begin to slowly lead us away from our expectations and more towards spiritual truths.

There's a bit in the epistles where Paul mentions the practice of praying for the deceased. If I recall correctly, the context in which he addresses it might almost suggest that it may not be an utterly pointless pursuit.

But, hey - I vote that we just put them out of our minds like good robots, since we all know they're already toast, eh?

I have been to purgatory. I visited a dead friend once while he was there. We used to visit regularly after he died while he was on his life after death journey.

It is not a bad place. All the residents there are in school, learning new things. Humanities classes, so to speak. And they spoke with me. They told me they were confused. They did not know why they were there, but they were very busy everyday studying and learning. Everyone presented as people in their thirties, including my friend, which was interesting because he was 60 when he died. They were not unhappy, just confused. God's presence was not in evidence, but it was not evil either.

They were not suffering. It was pleasant and comfortable, even womb-like, but they could not leave. I knew how to get out. There was a large open door on one side, but they could not see it. I will never forget my visit there. it is nothing to be afraid of. When they learn their lessons it is time to go on to the next step. It is a stage that a lot of people go through.

It is not the first place you go to, however. Some people have to be put back together. Their essences can be very broken from life. I also visited the river Styx. There is a sort of hospital there at the bottom of the falls where people arrive. It is a necessary healing place for many of the dead. When I met my friend there, he was beaming, and saying look at me, they put me back together! He had died of cancer that had totally eaten him up. It was quite a transformation.

I have had some incredible after death visits with this person. Purgatory can be part of our journey, and it is real. I have often seen my friend. He watches over me. He moved on from purgatory a long while ago.

There is no separation from God. Nothing that is separate from God can continue to exist.

This is the lie, the foolishness, of christianity in all of its forms. This is the inherent evil in christianity and its lies.
 Quoting: Sandi_T

No, some people are separated from God by the choices they have made in their lives. After death they have to go through the process of learning to become closer to God, like they may have been before they were incarnated on earth.

Saying prayers for people in purgatory is silly. You have to learn your lessons. You cannot leave until you are ready to go. The way many of us pray is simply begging for an outcome that we can't understand the implications of. We don't know the big picture. Only God does. When we are schooled, ready and aware then we are able to draw closer to the source of creation little by little.

Sandi, that is so well put. Thank you.

Mary, you may die and find yourself in heaven, hell, or anywhere in between. But eventually you will outgrown that expectation and join the place beyond all that in your journey to be one with the Creator. Heaven is not the highest level up. You will still have your ego there. We are going were there is no ego, just sublime connect with the source of our creator eventually. it is a very long road from what I have seen.

So you can say a "hail mary" and a soul gets loosed from purgurtory?

So why why did "Yahuwshuwa" have to die if u could just put on a brown scapular from "Mary" and have a promise from her that they would not see the fires of hell?

The Brown Scapular
A gift of love so powerful that it is a major instrument used in God's mercy to deliver souls—even ones with just a shadow of faith—from the fires of hell. A gift of love that Our Lady, herself, says is "a sign of salvation, a protection in danger, and a pledge of peace." This gift of Our Lady's love, the Brown Scapular, she gave to St. Simon Stock and the world on July 16, 1251, contains the beautiful promise, "Whosoever dies clothed in this habit shall not suffer the fires of hell."

also

“If at anytime, you recite in My honor three Hail Mary by calling upon My Flame of Love, each time a soul will be released from Purgatory. During the month of the deceased (November), upon the recitation of each Hail Mary, ten souls will be released from Purgatory. The suffering souls must also feel the effect of grace of the Flame of Love of My motherly Heart.” (October 13, 1962)

Do the math how many hail mary's are said daily?

I know I can account for at least 3 million of those.

People this is the hidden Catholicism that is separate from all their "God" and "Jesus" key words.

But it slaps the sacrifice that Yahuwshuwa gave of himself right across the face...

Fact, if a person dies in mortal sin (serious/grave), they don't see Heaven. Why true repentance and confession can't be ignored. If it's been awhile, examine your life, the 10 Commandments is a help or check the links to examination of conscience. More is required of Catholics, you must go to Confession.

Another fact, God is perfectly just. The reason every soul must make reparation for the sins of their life. This is done either here by our loving acts, sufferings, and prayers or we atone for our sins after we die in Purgatory.

I post a message from Heaven. The recent Holy Love messages have been about Purgatory.

Don't any of you realize that purgatory is those of you who fall short that are reincarnating on this plane? Your souls are already in purgatory, a place less than the heaven realms. Every soul has to LEARN how to be godly by experience and choices. You cannot truly atone for your sins when you are not embodied, that's the way heaven's schools for the dark ones work. This is how you experience. The CAtholic purgatory teaching is just awful.

Loved the description by one above, Sandi? and the Tall lean Casper the ghost white beings. These ARE spirit beings, and folks, those of you who remember your Casper the Ghost days when you were little, there was a LOT of teaching in them. The casper the ghost spirit form comes also in many colors, not just white. Now to those "little grays" bearing the form, these are not the angels, these are created robots forms, and they are GRAY for a reason. God's beings come in STUNNING glowing colors.

I once asked to see some "pleiadian emissaries" who were helping me with some health issues a couple times a day while I meditated. Well I got my wish when they thought I could handle it. Most people have no clue about light beings of different sorts and freak out. Well towards dawn one morning beck before 2004 some time, I awoke suddenly, and around 1/2 of my bed stood maybe 10 beautiful BLUE beings, about the size of grade school kids, and they GLOWED so much they lit the room in a lovely soft blue hue.

My point was hell is not in any Greek or Hebrew manuscripts. Shoel or Gehenna or Hades it would help a lot of people understand if we used the word in which it was used in the first place.

To the Bible posters above, Their is NO hell. That is a satanic idea added to the bible. In fact you have been told that with Satan, black is white and white is black in the stories. HELLFIRE people is a GOOD thing.

It is an accromyn for this.

Having EverLasting Life (HELL), Firey Intelligence Resonating Eternally. (FIRE). When people believe that God last cleansed the earth with Water and this time he will cleanse it with FIRE, Fire is a term for God knowing KNOWLEDGE. Not literal fire. It means the collapse of the old shit that is false, and the creation of the new out of the ashes of the old.

Hi Sandi,

You experienced an NDE, I never have so you can better share with your personal knowledge. And I do need to read more NDE accounts.

The reason from my "how can this be" question is non-Christians are not going to be shown a different God at the end of the tunnel of light. There is one God...in three
persons, the Blessed Trinity.

You got me thinking about the thread subject and wondering have non-Catholic Christians been shown Purgatory? One famous NDEer has, Dr. Howard Storm.

And notice, I put in bold...prayers save souls. Howard Storm was an atheist before his NDE.

Howard Storm, a former atheist whose brush with death turned him into a Protestant minister, says that he now believes in purgatory.

"It only makes sense," he says, "but I have trouble discussing this with my fellow ministers."

Featured here a couple months ago and also on MSNBC during Easter Week -- where he told his incredible story to a national audience -- Reverend Storm, considered by experts as one of the most convincing near-death cases, recounted his "dying" in Paris in 1985 from a perforated duodenum and after leaving his body finding himself with a group of hideous beings who attacked him as they led him to a foggy zone that descended toward "hell."

Storm says he was saved by Jesus after desperately pleading to God. After an extensive hospitalization he recovered -- and learned that a nun who had once been a student of his had been praying for him for years.

Storm credits that with saving him; after the episode he left his job as an professor at Northern Kentucky University and entered a seminary, becoming a minister.

He is now with the Zion United Church of Christ in Norwood, Ohio (near Cincinnati), and while some churches in that denomination can be ultra-liberal, he openly preaches against abortion and the New Age.

Still, we try to be careful with these cases, and we always issue the disclaimer that we can't endorse every view of such experiencers -- some of whom tend at times to put their own (and sometimes a nearly New Age) spin on what occurred. Like any form of mysticism, it is to be carefully discerned.

This is true in the case of Reverend Storm -- who himself acknowledges that some of his views have shifted since he became an active Christian ( including a few expressed in a book which was written before his faith was fully formed). These episodes are told through the filter of a person's framework.

But he is a man who exudes love (the single most important element of Christianity); many believe his experience was real; and he says he now believes not only in heaven and hell but also a state in-between where souls are "purged."

After his horrifying brush with death the concept of purgation was explained to him by a priest, says Reverend Storm, and "just rang so clear to me in my experience."

He says that when he "died" he was taken through a "foggy" region strikingly similar to what has been described in mystical literature [see An Unpublished Manuscript on Purgatory] -- and also similar to descriptions by modern visionaries who have told of a great "gray" area between hell and heaven.

Although a devout Protestant, Storm says that he considers Catholicism "the Mother Church" and is even interested in the Catholic apparition site of Medjugorje. He says God doesn't want division and that the main reason why he was on the road to hell was lack of love, pride, and disbelief.

So he was an atheist, and he had someone trying to convert him to Catholicism.

It really doesn't apply to the point, then. He had no belief system of his own, so he borrowed someone else's.

And yet he is a Protestant, not a Catholic.

Which further goes to my point... he interjected a belief system over what was happening.

Everyone does, though children are less likely to.

And, by the way, I had multiple NDEs, not one.

Additionally, there is only ONE God, that's true. But unfortunately, the bible LIES about that one God.

Everyone will, after they finally relinquish their stranglehold on their various belief SYSTEMS, arrive at the same God and the same knowledge of God.

The ones who will be surprised most of all will be the various christian denominations including yours... how shocking to discover a God who isn't anything like the murderous, evil, villianous, spiteful, nasty monster of the bible!
No more requests in the "Strangest things" thread please. :hf:

Sandi,

I wanted to reply to more than a couple of your comments in the above so I numbered them to keep your reply together.

1.I in-bolded the sentence where Storm learned the sister had been praying for him because I don't know exactly what she prayed for but the point is she prayed. Storm went from being an atheist to becoming a Protestant minister. Drives me crazy, and I am not saying you but so many will declare pray has no power...it sure does. God answers every prayer according to what is best for that soul.

2. Storm didn't borrow anybody's belief system at the time. Storm was atheist when he experienced his NDE...seeing Our Lord, seeing Purgatory so he had no Christian background that was confirmed by it.

3. Storm is a Protestant minister now previously being an
atheist, Imagine! It was the NDE and the sister's prayers.
Whose to say Our Lord is finished with Howard or finished answering the sister's prayer whatever they might be. We don't know. Maybe the sister's prayers brought the gift of the NDE?

4. I just said one but I knew you had several near death experiences, no offense intended.

5. Well, I guess by your last paragraph we'll never agree. Still friends I hope? hf

I'm not sure what part of the Bible you guys don't understand, but when you die, if you've not accepted Christ as your Savior, you go to Hell.

There is no one praying you out of your situation. The Bible doesn't teach that. But then again, you guys follow a lot of things that aren't in the Bible.

The Catholics wrote down the Bible...the Bible is only part of the True Faith, as carried forward by the Catholics, who were the first Christians.

The word Hell is not in the Hebrew or Greek text. only in a few translations of the bible in English. We are not to add anything, if people are in Gehenna they will get out when they are appointed to get out. If they did something to you personally, you could forgive them, that could get them out early unless others who they have wronged don't want them out.

You are also commanded NOT to TAKE AWAY anything also,
So, why did the KJV bible NOT put all books into this most widely used PROTESTant bible?? Set the record strait. There were several books not included when this bible was created.

In 1611 KJV edition does have the apocryphal books, thats when it was created.

The Catholic Bible, the first Bible, the Latin Vulgate, had
73 books in it. The first KJV had 73 books but later editions
had 66 (hint) books.

Re: souls in Purgatory - November is set aside to remember them - share your comments and prayers

Hijo de Isabella...seintate!

what did you say he name was again? yashwashuashwashuaeshua?
chuckle

It's his PROPER name: It is most proper to call Him Yeshua. It was indeed his proper name, given to him by his parents, and only in Hebrew does this name have any meaning. In Hebrew Yeshua means both "Salvation," and the concatenated form of Yahoshua, is "Lord who is Salvation." The name Jesus has no intrinsic meaning in English whatsoever.

I think his parents spoke Aramaic .. I sure the spelling is of but that is what they spoke. What his name is in that language I don't know. His name is suppose to mean God is with us, if I remember right. Immanuel is another name he was to be called. Jesus is suppose to be the same meaning.
If you Call him Jesus the Christ and what he was about he will know.

By the mercy of Christ, in our belief in he as the Son of God sent to die on the cross and rise again, our sins are forgiven and covered so God does not see them.

God grace I believe in. Not purgatory nor do I believe in praying to Mary. It isn't in the Bible only in the Catholic Church.

Don't think, they were all Jews, including Jesus. They were asked to follow his teachings (not forced, coerced or anything typical Catholic dogma has undergone since the early days). I agree with the post that God doesn't want division - but don't bring Catholic dogma into being the one "true" Christianity.

Right before his death, Jesus asked them to be his "friends". The teaching and message was love...for him, themselves and their fellow man - and above all and ultimately: God.
