Those of us concerned about foes of the 2ndA know that this isn't the only opponent of gun ownership in the US. Things got dangerously close when Brady took a hit in the assassination attempt against Reagan, hence the "Brady Bill". But attitudes seem to be changing for the better. One newly elected GOP (TN) governor has gone so far as stating if the state congress sent him a bill doing away with the CCW permit requirements, he'd sign it. Meaning everyone that wants to could pack. Just like Heinlein said long ago, "An armed society is a polite society."
