When a bird lands on your shoulder

I never thought about asking people here what this means until now. The only reason I follow threads at GLP is I saw premonitions from many threads here come to light.

Two years ago I was walking into my office and a common everyday sparrow landed on my shoulder. My first thought was that it was disoriented and it would fly away but it did not. I reached for it and it scurried around to my other shoulder but did not fly away.

I went into my office and my secretary didn't notice it so I pointed it out to her. Her response was there is something wrong with you Jessica. Just so you understand her response. Animals seem to be attracted to me and I love animals as much as they seem to love me.

Anyway, I went about my business for the day and this bird stayed with me all day. If I went into a structure it would fly to a tree or to the roof of the structure and as soon as I came out it would be back on my shoulder again and get in my car with me to my next appointment.

I went back to my office at the end of the day and two of my employees pulled in at the end of their day and walked to me to say hello. The bird left my shoulder and plucked a cigarette from the mouth of one of my employees, flew with it a short way then pecked it to nothing before flying to a tree. As soon as they left it flew back to my shoulder and went home with me for the night. My cat Bob wasn't thrilled but what was I to do lol. The next day it popped on my shoulder, went to work with me then flew away never to return.

I have no idea what to make of this occurrence and wonder if anyone could enlighten me here.

something weird happened with me a few years back, involving crows.

this particular day, i wasn't feeling too good, in fact i was like death warmed up. anyway, whilst working as a courier i walked to this block of flats to deliver an item, and as i was walking i noticed this group of crows rummaging about in the grass to my left.

when i came back out of the flats, feeling absolutely rotten because I just climbed three flights of stairs to deliver my item, i walked across the grass, head down, thinking i was dying to be honest, and i noticed as i walked, head down, that the crows were all around me. i could have bent down and stroked them, that's how close i was to them.

it wasn't till i was back in the car that i thought something weird had just happened.

normally you can't get within 20 feet of crows.try it, it's impossible.

do you think they sensed i was no threat because I was feeling so rotten?

Hum I wasn't feeling well that day either now that you say that. It's really strange you saying that. I worried that day about keeping my men working. I was very worried about keeping my men working at that time. Things where getting slow

the crimson rosellas around here land on my daughter all the time, and the kookabarras sit on the outdoor table when we're out there and the wrens and robins come in the house all the time, they know if you're a threat or not, they study you even. I know why each bird is prompted to come around close, us living where we do benifits them, the rosellas eat when the horses are fed in winter, the kookabarras eat when there are bbq's and when we cut firewood, and the little wrens and robins eat because the garden is more productive than the bush, and the sheds and house give more shelter then the trees.. over all, the birds are soft around here and they like the space we have created, I'm pretty sure of it.

You must do something OP that caught the little birds eye.

Geese a bird chirping,

while evil was moving out today, I had wasps or hornets in the house, gently captured them and released...also caught a grasshopper and observed it for a few minutes, then released.

i had a flock of grakels fly over me once at the dallas zoo and shit all over me. what does that mean?

This also happened to my brother one day at the farm. They had taken something out like a tree or a fence post, and they we're doing something and he was standing in the spot where it had been. So, while he is standing there, a bird He said was a dove, flies up and lands on his shoulder. He said that as best he could figure, it thought he was the object that had been there. When he told me the story, he said "I was just standing there and this bird lands on my shoulder and starts chirping."
He was holding something, so he shrugged his shoulder to get it to fly off and it wouldn't go, until he turned to it and told it to get lost. The bird flew off, circled, came back, and landed on his shoulder again. It didn't leave until he swatted it away.
When he told me this, I pointed at him and jokingly said "Your Jesus."
