It's sad but very true.

I graduated from high school in 2003 and felt like I was in a prison the whole time I was there. They locked down the entire school for two hours one day because it was "suspected" that some kid had some pot out in his car. The drug dogs were called out, they searched the car and it turned out it was a false alarm.

Any time a couple of kids got into a fight, police were called and I remember one boy being pressed with assault charges. No off school lunches, we had to wear ID badges, and we had to tuck in our shirts every day because the teachers watched a demonstration video of a kid hiding a bunch of firearms in his pants. I'm not kidding.
