I didn't even look at it that way until I saw this. The process must have started around the time we began to make more sophisticated tools and machines. That is why things like religion seem so alien and wrong to me, thinking processes that are ancient, archaic and barbaric. It could also explain the huge leaps of technology that we had, a change in our galactic environment would cause a change to us, this is evolution. A changing environment causes our brains to change, this is why everyone's brains are so different, different experiences and environments.

All living creatures learn (except some humans), they gain information from their sensory organs about their environment, then using their brains make decisions and choices. These experiences make the brain grow and make new connections and alter the brain chemistry and structure. People who do not learn are dead inside, they are the zombies you see in horror movies. They just eat, make noise and never change.
