The dog was doing it's thing, trying to protect her from what it felt was a threat and rather than taking advantage of it's heroism and escaping she manages to botch it up and get mauled. The mind boggles.... |

My wife and I were on a prolonged camping trip in central Idaho this summer. The local forest ranger warned us about a black bear that had attecked a campground host. He was just sctatched up a bit. I will be damned if a bear didn't come into our camp, and I could not chase it away. I am pretty sure if I had gotten aggresive with it, would have stood its ground, and attacked. It finally lost interest and lumbered away after 45 minutes. It makes a person a bit uneasy. Last Edited by Ricfly52 on 11/08/2010 06:34 PM Fishing and skiing keeps me a little sane. |
