I've had a theory that this site was pretty screwed up.

Well that's the biggest pile of non-proof you're likely to see.

The first two are the same thing, conservative, saying they heard the people behind snopes are liberals.

The third one is even less convincing.

Here's the think, if you wanna debunk the debunkers, find some proof. Angry conservative rants aren't proof.

Not just nopes but factcheck and politifact as well. It is basic propaganda bullshit like calling something the "Patriot" act - put "fact" in the name and people will trust it.

I've shown multiple times on other forums how factcheck and politifact get things terribly wrong using sources like the NYT, WSJ, AP, etc.

Okay, so we've got a bunch of birthers trying to tell us what we knew all along: that Snopes is run by two people (they SAY that on their website f'r catssakes) and that they're not going to support the birther agenda because the State of Hawaii say that yes, Obama's a citizen.

And someone who calls herself "Dr. Betty" says they are wrong when they debunked aspertame -- a person, who (do your research) bought their degree from a degree mill.

David and Barbara Mikkelson in the San Fernando Valley of California started the website about 13 years ago - and they have no formal background or experience in investigative research. After a few years it gained popularity believing it to be unbiased and neutral, but over the past couple of years people started asking questions who was behind it and did they have a selfish motivation?

This is a bunch of bull. Everybody has known for years that it is a husband and wife running it. It is obvious public information. Trying to make out that snopes is some sort of super-smart answering service for any question is ridiculous.

Snopes is basically Mythbusters, except that Snopes was first. And obviously snopes is a website, not a teevee show. So they don't have all the special effects.

As you can see from this quote, anybody who wanted to find out, anybody who did some basic research, would know that snopes is a husband and wife team. It's not some big secret.
