YOUR DAUGHTER WOULD BE ONE OF THOSE SURVIVORS AND YOU WOULD BE INCREASING THE RISK THAT SHE WILL FOLLOW IN DADDY'S FOOTSTEPS! Think long and hard about that...do you HATE your own child that much? I know this sounds harsh, but I will post another reply and explain why I use such harsh terms. The greatest illusion is the illusion of separation. |

They are still upset and messed up, blame themselves for absolutely no reason at all. They would give ANYTHING to have him back and always will feel that way. Quoting: TracyWhy the hell would you do that to your daughter????? You put all that drug shit down, get yourself to a doctor and be a better you for your childs sake. Its the DRUGS that make you feel worthless...NOT YOU! The real you is the kid inside...remember that boy you were before addictions took hold? You can find him again but sitting in a basement wont help. Stop being so internalised, self focussed and take up a team sport or something. You emotional cognitive function has temporarily got stuck in naughty teen mode but once you have a child....you are an adult so start acting like a sensible one! Get bored with the kick as its not serving its purpose anymore. I am so, so sorry. May the LORD strengthen and comfort and bless you and you children. May your sadness be instruction to the OP. OP, You asked earlier about a final word before leaving. Please consider Tracy's words from those who are left behind. May you find the motivation to learn from this and to choose a better path. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 664728 New Zealand 11/08/2010 11:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Bible says that we do not go to "heaven" but we are resurrected to immortal life on earth. The Kingdom of God is ON THE EARTH. There is no eternal damnation type of hell. It just means "grave" If you are not a believer and baptised and purifying your mind for the return of the Lord, you will not be resurrected. You have to know and understand the scriptures before you are held accountable for judgement. When you are dead, you are dead. Look up Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any [thing] that is done under the sun. when you die, that is it--no punishment. Just death. UNLESS you have made a relationship with God and Jesus, been baptised and lived a life worthy. If you believe and read the word of God, you will be changed. The change is in preparation to become a servant of God here on this earth after the 2nd coming. The gospel is the good news about the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ Suicide will just end your life. You die like an animal and lose all hope. But there is no hell. |

My youngest brother committed suicide over a failed relationship. He had fallen into heavy drug and alcohol use and thought we would all be better off without him...11 years later and we still are not better off without him...in fact each passing day is worse and worse. My other two brothers found his body. One of them is so f*cked up that he is now on disability for severe PTSD and is on the edge every single day. The other one copes somehow, but neither of them has "lived" since the day he died. My mother cannot get through more than a few hours in a day without looking at his pictures or holding the few of his belongings that she has and sobbing deeply for the child she lost. So, if others can see the value in you. Surely there must be something there. And even if you have fucked up badly, there is always fresh starts. Part of the process of life is fucking up, and regaining your composure, and starting over. It's called endurance. Perseverance. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1102161Without helping you choose that as an option the bible says that when any person dies the breath of life goes back to God and the body returns to being dust of the earth. From that moment until the sound of the 7th trump in Revelation everybody is in a dreamless state. After that trump people are sorted according to some preset standards. The righteous are alive on the earth for a 1,000 years and they then witness God sending Satan and Co. to the lake and then they meet God. Some go back to sleep (if they are even woken up to be told to go to sleep). They remain asleep for the time before Satan is sent to the lake. God resurrects these people at the Great White Throne, that would include somebody in your situation. The badasses who were murderers and thieves and idol worshipers (ie money), they are in torment for that period of time and they are also resurrected to life where they enter with a clean slate. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1052576I am deeply sorry for your family loss. That is at least curable with some counseling to establish stronger fences for yourself. ie if you get punched in the face you have the guts to walk away and not even think about looking back. At the same time you do not punch people in the face when they resist doing what you demand they 'willingly' do for fear they will do the same. If you are needy or overly aggressive you should probably live alone and then hang out bin places like this lol. |

I look at the 5 children she left behind and see the pain and confusion in them wondering why mom didn't love them enough to stay. The older ones have bursts of anger that alienate everyone around them, and bouts of depression when they too are at risk....remember what I said about survivors being at a seriously greater risk. Suicide is never, ever, ever, ever, ever the answer...never, ever. The greatest illusion is the illusion of separation. |

awthrawthr User ID: 872426 Poland 11/08/2010 11:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In my opinion, if someone commits suicide, they don't experience soul awareness in that cycle death. They'll need to reincarnate, and give it another go. It might be harder next time because of the habit. Yup, some people who commit suicide - well it's not their first time doing that. They need to unlearn that form of expression. Of course some people commit suicide when they don't have their full faculties. I'm referring to someone who is practically out of their mind in pain and who might not be thinking straight. If they down a half dozen narcotic pills and take a swig of booze, is that suicide? I'm not sure if they have the mental capacity to "decide" to kill themselves. They are merely self medicating, trying to knock themselves out to escape the pain. I've been in pain for a few moments where my thinking goes kerfloowie, and that wasn't even comparable to what some people go through. It's as if I've had a window looking in on what it must be like when the pain is unbearable and unrelenting. Last Edited by AwthrAwthr on 11/08/2010 11:38 PM Got pain? Free relief. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1102161What I don't know is what exactly the Word of God says about suicide. I've always heard that those who commit suicide are condemned to hell but I've also learned that people tend to regurgitate what they've been taught without checking it out for themselves. This question just occurred to me now so I ask you, the good people of GLP. I'm having a real hard time justifying my life right now....things are really bad. thanks Your life is justified. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1069180 Japan 11/08/2010 11:41 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I believe that yes, someone who commits suicide CAN get to Heaven. I know most Christians would disagree with me, but I feel that way. I believe that it depends on why the person committed the suicide. For example, I think it was September 11 of 2008 that I saw a documentary on TV and in a segment of it, they showed a picture of a man who was jumping to his death. The editor told the journalist to blow up the picture until he could see the facial features. Then the editor told the journalist to go around town to find out who he was, what kind of music he liked, what kind of clothing he wore, what kind of cereal he ate...everything. Ironically, he was the son of a Baptist minister who often preached that suicide was EVIL and one who committed suicide was going straight to hell--and yet, he verified that it WAS his son in the picture. Oops! He said he had to rethink his stand on suicide after seeing THAT picture. The documentary said that the official report says that NOBODY committed suicide that day, and that it was because, out of respect for the families who had already lost their lovedones, they didn't want to classify their deaths as suicide. There is a stigma with suicide and there always has been, but there shouldn't be--not in most cases. I believe, again, that it has something to do with what one is thinking when he commits the act. Is he trying to get out of something? such as a lawsuit? or the punishment of life inprisonment? or was he committing suicide to cheat the justice system? Perhaps, he would go to hell, but that's still not ours to decide. Each person who has ever lived since the world began, each person who is living now, and who will ever live until the end of the world will have to stand before God and answer for his actions--and yes, that means even the people who don't believe in God--and it is HE who would decide. Actually it won't be He who decides, but his Grand Council--to make sure that the judgment is fair for us. Judas, one of Jesus' own Apostles, the one who betrayed him with the "kiss of death" was reportedly rejected by the rest of the 12, and they cast him out. Then when he heard the awful things they told him and that they wouldn't listen to his story that Jesus ASKED HIM to betray him--to FULFILL all scripture, for if he WEREN'T betrayed by one of his own, and then he was crucified, that would have made the scriptural prediction of his betrayal a lie, when they didn't believe his story, he felt so horrified and he felt that he had nothing to live for anymore, that he committed suicide. Now he WAS one of Jesus' chosen 12. DID he commit a sin that was worthy of HELL? What IF the story IS true? Would Jesus then say, "Sorry mate! But you committed suicide! It's off to hell you go!" I don't believe so. As for the rest of us, I believe that God IS an all wise and loving and compassionate God, and he DOES know our very thoughts. When he put us on this Earth, he promised that we WOULD be tempted by Satan--that's a promise--but he also promised that we would NEVER be tempted more than we, individually, could handle. It's an agreement that he made with Satan. Now what happens if they somehow made a miscalculation, and because of our temptations, one cannot withstand them and he commits suicide? Should he be guilty of hell fire just because of a miscalculation between God and Satan? Lastly, what of what is happening around us? For example the 9/11 jumpers. Why did they jump? Could it be because of the intense heat of the fire? or was it the FEAR of never being able to get out of there alive? Did they try to get out of their offices and find that they couldn't get out because of blockage or fire? WHATEVER they were thinking, or whatever their reasons, on that day, I DON'T believe that ANYONE went to hell on that day! |
