If you wanted a socialist Utopia and your State constitution allows it, you still can not do it because socialism, with it's ideal of collective "rights", violates the Bill of Rights given to each American. You don't get it. Socialism and communism are systems of government where the elite rule over the people. They take everybody's stuff, distribute the cream amoung their ruling class and pass out what is left to everybody else. The idea is a lie in practice.
