Fox News: London terror attack "works to ... Western world´s advantage

Well we had Jorma Ollila, Nokia CEO and frequent guest at the Bilderberg meetings, on Finnish mainstream news yesterday. He stated that keeping the European Union strong and striving for economic growth to keep up the competition with the other great economies of the world is the best way to make sure these kinds of terrorist attacks don´t happen...

As deadly and sad as the attacks were... the more they attack western countries and western cities. The more we tighten are security and respond. Although 7/7 will cause no where near as many deaths or injuries as Sep 11 did... it has helped re unite the G8. 9/11 united the world behind america. the iraq war devided it. The attacks in madrid causes problems because the Spanish government pulled troops out of iraq. But These london blasts will mean the leaders can unite again with out 1 side having to say sorry Or admitting they were wrong.

Well at first i believed the real losers of yesterday would be the middle east, and africa.

Certainly less people here now care about Africa than they did a few days before, But it looks as if things will still be going on course to help. And we also saw the 3 Billion to assist the palistinians which is good.

As for the winners... Well id say london is a winner. These are very small explosive devices, the damage could of been far greater and loss of life could of been huge. We can now learn from the mistakes and bring about improvements. Not just in london but in many cities around the world. The Terrorist attacks usualy always fail, It just makes it harder for them the next time.

Ofcourse this does not make it any easier for The victims/ family members.. Who are all in our thoughts

we must remember al qaeda is now a brand name. many people believe in their ideas, so they set out to copy them. And yes i dont believe there was a connection between 9/11 and iraq. But that doesnt mean Iraq would never of helped terrorists.

the main problems in the world are because we are reluctant to act. Iraq was a place we chose to and it was the right thing to do. The problem is the world was not united in doing so. We have to put the differences aside, there are many places which need help. (not always war)

ONe of the resons why America attacked Iraq was that there is no real way in which to wage war on "terror".

Thats is a very good point... as yes it has drawn in the terrorists so we kill them there instead of at home. But There are many terrorists still in Afgan.. Could of done / still have to do alot more there. This attack in london will see the UK doing more in that region.

that clip is pure gold, the fucking cockieness of the news people on that video is sickening, basically saying "believe it or not" fucking global warming and africa were the G8´s top story, but hey, lets fucking remind them whats top dog...stick terrorism back where it SHOULD be.......sad bastards

Well its right the G8 didnt change their agenda.. In a way that would be giving into terrorism. But Yes terrorism is a major issue... Just because it was not on the agenda at this confrence, doesnt mean any 1 has forgotten it. We are reminded every day about the war on terror. And Most countries are working together on security / intel issues.
