If anything happens to California that results in economic chaos for California, then the rest of the USA will suffer, followed by the rest of the world.

California produces over 50% of the food for the whole USA. Since this economic recession, its been steadily climbing, its estimated that by 2015 California will be producing over 60% of the food used by the USA.

California supplies gasoline to 1/3rd of the nation - the Western third. We have the refineries, and from us that Alaskan oil is processed and sent all the way to Washington and as far east as Nebraska. Half of that is produced in the greater L.A. area.

The technology you use - comes from California. We are still the USA's #1 producer of technology and the software that that technology uses.

California also produces all of the top secret electronics for defense projects, from ICBM's to guidance in those drones. Guidance for tanks, ships, etc all come from California.

We also produce on average 25% of natural resources used by the USA. This is on average. Mind we are still the top producer of Gold, we are the only producer of Borax - while we only produce 10% of the copper. If California stopped mining suddenly the whole USA would be in a resource crises to rival that of the 1970's energy crises.

What we do not produce comes through us. Oakland, L.A., Stockton, San Diego receives over 70% of the goods that the USA uses from China, Taiwan, Japan. If California suddenly shut down lots of stuff would suddenly be out of stock.

We also supply about 30% of the stuff that goes to Canada via imports from other nations.

If California secedes from the USA, over night the USA would drop to the 12th richest nation on earth, California would suddenly be the 4th richest nation.

If the day does come that the California Republic does secede, it will not only foul the economy of the USA, it would foul the economy of all nations on earth, over night the balance of power would shift in ways that would lead to economic collapse for Wall Street and other similar markets.

BTW California holds 10% of the US population, which means it is the state with the highest population of US citizens. For every dollar it pays into the Federal Tax, it only gets back about 70 cents. It is economically a more viable choice for California to not be part of this so called Union.

We produce billions of dollars each year that go to the Feds.

Our current deficit as a state is 16 billion. We paid about 40 billion to the federal Government last year.

Without the Feds, we would have no state deficit, and everyone would get a hefty tax return of about $800 per person.

Nothing that the other states do compare to California economically speaking, we out produce, out sell, out invent, and out pay (taxes).

Without California, the USA is nothing.

So yeah, hate us - hate us enough to where enough Californians decide we do not need the Rest of the USA and we reestablish the California Republic.
