Track Me If You Can -Discovery
Any one watching this, it's on discovery channel right now. Its showing ways to drop off the Grid, Avoid big brother, and staying ahead on the LAM.

He said there is over 3 million cameras recording over 40 billion hours of footage a week of the public. Your EZ pass records show your normal driving route and habits, The airline ticket you booked 5 years ago on-line asked for your food preference and its now stored with big brother of places youll most likely show up to eat. All your on-line habits are stored in databases as well as social networking activities. Pretty good show bonghit

This show is retarded. Almost none of these tips would be useful. How are people going to run around scanning your biometric data? They would need to already have found you. There is no point in wiping your fingerprints off a door if they already know you are behind that door. And if you legally change your name the government will definately find you. And only they has access to.most of the tracking things he is avoiding. It is much, much simpler to disappear than he is making it.

When he said to legally change you're name I was like WTF? If you do that it won't make much of a difference, you have a different name, yay, but it's still linked back to you old name.

What was the thing he did to his hat to create the halo of light around his head in the security cameras? I missed the begining.

IIRC he said to put LED lights in the hat with them protruding out the front. It totally blocks out the image of your face. Not sure exactly how it works though.

If being spied on, will, in essence, protect us from wrong doers doesn't that make you feel safer? I have been thinking long and hard and can't think of anything I do/did, write or say that would be contrived as dangerous to anyone or would compromise my personal well being if it were spied upon, even if it were from the past. I agree that in principal it is discomforting that we need to be babysat by govt. for our protection but if that's what it takes, then no skin off of my back. My discomfort is derived from the amount of wrong doers in this world that would make life under surveillance a necessary inconvenience for us and expense for govt. and essentially for us.

The camera use IR sensors. LEDs just overload it. Think of it like striking a match in front of your night vision goggles.

It only works on security cameras that are IR sensitive for night mode operation. I know that many of the cameras in my workplace are just that and would indeed be blinded by IR LEDs, but not all of them are. It's not a silver bullet against all security cameras. I would also think it would be easier to conceal the LEDs inside your shirt collar and just point them up at your face from underneath to make you appear unrecognizeable to the cameras.

So because you might, maybe, possibly, perchance get mugged, I have no right to privacy?

I am not breaking the law, so the color of my panties, whether I pick my nose, how saggy or perky my breasts are, whether I like mint or ginger... etc. and et. al. should be my own damned business.

Because someone else abuses her kid, I should be forced to vaccinate mine and make mine eat McDonalds so she's not "deprived"?

My life is my business.

These things are NOT NECESSARY.

The threats of these "horrible dangers" are exaggerated to get you to give up MY RIGHT not to have cops looking at my dirty underwear and my bras without probable cause.

You are giving up MY RIGHT to keep the size and shape of my breasts private.

You are throwing away MY RIGHT to pick my own nose in my own fucking house without some cop picking up the phone and saying "we saw that." Good, here, let me pick another and throw it at you, you asshole.

We do not NEED 1984 in order for you to be "safe and protected."

It is not NECESSARY to steal every ounce of freedom and privacy from people to "keep them safe."

In point of fact, the more rigid a society becomes, the more people become "terrible criminals" for little shit like jaywalking or booger flinging (OMG, THE GERMS, YOU'RE A MURDERER!!!!).

Protect your rights, before you have none left.

And if you're in such a hurry to have your privates no longer be private, just stop wearing clothes.

Why bother to wear clothes? It's not like your private parts are PRIVATE.

What have you got to hide, huh?? Hang your little whipper on out for everyone to see. No need for privacy, now.

You might have a gun under your whipper, you know. So let it all hang free.

Don't act like being a LAW ABIDING CITIZEN should entitle you to NOT have people ogling your dangly bits.

Re: Track Me If You Can -Discovery
Whatever else he may or may not be, Aton Edwards is IMHO NOT an expert on disappearing. His suggestion that having his name changed in court will make him invisible is ludicrous.
Such a court action creates a legal record that lives on forever. Court records would show old name, new name, address and the location of the court session. In some jurisdictions creditors are contacted with the new name and address.
[link to en.wikipedia.org]
So to paraphrase another show, Aton Edwards "is busted."

Do you understand that the information that is getting out to the public now is already "old news", back in 1983 whenI was enlisting into the Airforce, They already had the technology to go up and down your neighborhood, inside of a van listening to you and your neighbors to look for suscpicous activity? And this was before the "Patriot Act" was ever passed. And this was what I had been informed of BEFORE I was enlisted. What do you think that they are capable of now? wtf

And what was the number of "THE BEAST'? Remember what they said about social security numbers beginning with the numbers "666"? HELLO!!!!!!!!!!
