I just reviewed the seismograph readings for the past couple days from the Yellowstone Observatory, and it's really unremarkable. Here's a link (just click on a location and it will bring up the charts): [link to quake.utah.edu]

I did read that Yellowstone had something like 68 earthquakes in total for the month of October, so to have that many in a day or two...

I followed Yellowstone closely in January 2009, and the seismograph charts were crazy active...it was like a two-year old took a handful of crayons and started scribbling. I have since learned that Yellowstone is an extremely active site and folks shouldn't get overly alarmed by activity. I have heard that it will likely be a thousand years or more before another major eruption.

Yep.... I remember about a year ago it was pretty scary... but, then again, we didn't have all the world's Volcanoes acting up at the same time either. At least I don't remember that part.

Just take a look at this. History Channel analyses Yellowstone and what would happen if it decides to go ka-boom.

Not that I think yellowstone is going to blow anytime soon (from what I heared it averages 3000 earthquakes a year.) but if it were to blow in the future how much of california be screwed?

The name comes from the colors of the brimstone, sulfur from the hot springs present all over the park.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if Yellowstone erupted and destroyed America before the elites could? All that planning and nature takes care of destroying the sin and debauchery of Babylon.

Expect mega geysers, maas death of animals an people, quake swarms 5 and greater, and real massive uplift first.
