Good Christian Metal came too little, too late. Unfortunately, they all sound like Nu-Metal BS bands indistinguishable.

Where are the classic sounds and influences like Black Sabbath or even Metallica? Back then, we only had "Stryper" which sucked beyond all possible belief.

The irony is, there's enough of God in Black Sabbath to bring someone to Christ, as I can attest. Same with Metallica.

These bands may be thought of as Negative, but typically their negativity is *against* the evils of the world. One only has to be bright enough to read between the lines.

For example, "Master of Puppets" is a powerful song warning against the perils of cocaine addiction. Thanks to Metallica and good common sense, stayed away from cocaine.

Slayer's "Angel of Death" is a song about Auschwitz and Nazi Atrocities. You might look at Slayer and think they're saying good things about it, but the lyrics themselves reveal their opinion "Sickening."

Dio's "The Last in Line" is an ode to the persecuted, the meek, the humble. The prophesised fate of Christians, to be persecuted and meek but to later inherit the Earth.

Yes, there's plenty of God in Metal. But as soon as you declare yourself "christian metal" you've sold out as an artist, because you're trying to play to a label. No good.

Completely in agreement, friend. However, this is not just about what *I* want to listen to, I'd like to work on taking it out mainstream, not to "bring people to YHWH", but so that those that wish to abstain from secular music (like me) have something that fills that gap.

Slayer's singer/bassist claims to be a catholic. I wont go into why he isnt....then again there are some gays who claim to be catholic as well.

I understand about anything that doesnt glorify god is blasphemy but I thought that was only amish and baptist crap. There is plenty of metal that has very little or nothing to do with judea/xtian mythology.
