Is a C-4 class that big? Any previous C-4 class that caused us some issues?  X class are the largest, followed by M,C, B, and A class. It is a log scale. An X class (the largest type) would be 100 times larger than a C class. So a C-4 with a glancing blow is basically not much. Here is a link for info on solar flares [ link to www.spaceweather.com]
