my son insists for me to use Linix/Ubuntu with Firefox. I can't find the text to speech, or figure out how to use it if I have it. :P

Re: Speech to text results from last night.
if you have windows 7 you can use voice recognition to control the entire computer including the internet and opening programs everything not just word.do a you tube search for "windows 7 speech recognition" and you should find a tutorial on how to set it up.i saw that thread the other day about using it in word and it got me interested.when i tried to figure out how to do it to my surprise i learned that in windows 7 they totally made it way better than in xp.peace!
when you're so good that you can't say it cause it ain't even cool for you to sound cocky anymore...
