I honestly do not care about "models" I use the UJEAS Project -

"Around November 15th, this trough deepens with cold air from Alaska qas a blocking ridge develops in the Northern Pacific Ocean. This will bring a very cold air mass into the Pacific Northwest and filter through the northern half of the country. This air mass will likely be dry for the Southern California area."
