Just to comment a few details about your story;

- People going to bed early is because of the fresh air outdoors. You sleep more, easily up to 12 hours per night (if 7-8 hours is normal). So nothing weird about that.

- The "missile" type of thingy that you saw, was most likely an F-5E Tiger II, it's used a lot for training purposes by the US military. So just saying that it doesn't have to be related.

- The MUFON people sound also "normal". They are some nutcases who believe every conspiracy theory in the world, and are just dying to see a UFO. They try to take a scientific approach to these ufo-sightings, without possibly really knowing why/what to do. So they dig up every little detail they can think of, file it somewhere, and let it be. So I'm sure they are annoying, even scary, possibly invading your privacy for no reason. So don't worry.

- These strange lights and orbs that you saw, there can be a dozen possible explenations to them. About the green orb, I'm guessing it is related to the military activity in the area. The military uses green lasers a lot for different targeting purposes, and from a distance of 1-2 kilometers in somewhat darkness the beam could easily look like a 5-foot orb on a tree. Who ever was using it, would then have moved the pointer (which creates the vision of moving orb), and then finally switched it off, causing the orb to disappear.

The green lasers are very dangerous, but from that distance they will merely cause a little bit of pain in your eyes, and a sensation of dizziness etc. If the laser is pointed directly to your eyes, you can also get a similar symptom as when you look at the sun, the image stays in your vision for some time.

These laser-caused eye problems can even last a very long time (up to days), then occasionally disappear and then re-appear later.

It could offer one explanation to the rectangular object that you saw hovering there for 20 minutes, and then you falling asleep afterwards. It could also explain the "radio" sound inside your head, and exactly in a way that it's not in your ears, but inside the head.

As said, the military lasers are very dangerous, and it could well be that they left a severe trauma inside your head, which up to years later can still make you see shadows, hear whispers, feel nausious, and other weird things.

It could also explain why your husband "shut down", possibly he was affected even worse, and didn't know what was going on. Maybe he thought you are crazy, and also made him crazy, or something.

Lasers, as well as strong radars in military use can be very bad for anyone in the area. Potentially they can even cook your eye-balls if you're very unlucky.

Your prank-phone calls could have just been that - prank phone calls.

I'm not saying that my theory is correct, but it would surely explain 95% of your experience. I've been hit by a green laserbeam from a distance of a few hundred meters, so I know. Luckily it was not military-strength.

So it could well be that you should blame the US military for ruining your life for being careless, and there is no conspiracy, UFO, evil spirit, or MIB.

I'd recommend you to look into this possibility, it could just give you a piece of mind, and relieve you from the agony.

In any case, all the best to you. God bless.

the orb: this was no laser beam, it was a big round ball that had dimension and left a glowing shadow on the tree and the ground.

the jets may be unrelated, but we have camped at that lake on the same side every year for over a decade with the same group give or take a family or two. we never saw jets or orbs or weird lights or airplanes there before. it is remote, no electricity, not even for RVs. tent camping only.
