That was what I was hoping for! I really like the stand up poetry they do in some places. It can get really intense.

MEMORIES
Fade away I make sure you fade away
For real I am not pretending or planning
Sure I make it happen you will fade away
Nothing good to remember anymore
When you take the key and want to open all
You ask for what’s left of me
You think I am that ignorant?

LOST/SHATTER

One day you told me you are lost

Running away from the unknown

You told me you plan to escape from yourself

Sweet words wrapping my mind

Dreamy promises of a reality so perfect

Im still in awe I can’t see it shattering

As you fade away I can hear the cracks shatter

twelve years old,
summer of 1969
Dancing with Susie in her basement to
Crimson and clover. Spending time at the pool
together.
kissing in what we called the tunnel of love
Pure innocent powerful puppy love
hadnt reached puperty yet.

One day at the pool
I inadvertantly saw her milky white breast
when she leaned up on
her elbows. Along with a "FEEELING" she was
giving off..

I picked up my towel and without saying a word
went home and never spoke to her again..

40years later, saw a picture of her in a class
reunion picture, she looked sad and her face
to me hadnt changed in forty years..
found her email address.
sent email...
she responded
we met....

Surreal, magic, heavenly, nuclear fusion, ethereal, powerful, emotional... the most powerful feeling Ive
ever had in my LIFE..

like a time portal back to twelve again...
Since then Ive read about rekindling
long lost love and discovered its been
scientifically studied..and scientist say
the feelings can be as powerful as mommies breast milk
hard wired stuff..... so BE CAREFUL!!!

So in honor of the love i couldnt have and my first--
love you susie!!!

I LONG to talk with some old lover's ghost,
Who died before the god of love was born.
I cannot think that he, who then loved most,
Sunk so low as to love one which did scorn.
But since this god produced a destiny,
And that vice-nature, custom, lets it be,
I must love her that loves not me.

Sure, they which made him god, meant not so much,
Nor he in his young godhead practised it.
But when an even flame two hearts did touch,
His office was indulgently to fit
Actives to passives. Correspondency
Only his subject was ; it cannot be
Love, till I love her, who loves me.

But every modern god will now extend
His vast prerogative as far as Jove.
To rage, to lust, to write to, to commend,
All is the purlieu of the god of love.
O ! were we waken'd by this tyranny
To ungod this child again, it could not be
I should love her, who loves not me.

Rebel and atheist too, why murmur I,
As though I felt the worst that love could do?
Love might make me leave loving, or might try
A deeper plague, to make her love me too ;
Which, since she loves before, I'm loth to see.
Falsehood is worse than hate ; and that must be,
If she whom I love, should love me.

Wow you guys.

The Final Rest

There was a little girl who walked down a lonely road.
She struggled with the days of life on which her seeds were sowed. She came upon a funny dog sometimes called a bitch. Although the dog seemed pretty it was really a little wench.

How could she make this mammal see the beauty in heavenly grace that prevails in the smallest of christians the picture of a godly face. She thought of the problem day and night which troubled her darkest dreams. Then the dog became a serpent when torn away from it's covering seams.

The child was struck by sadness. With thunder the rain did pour. And then the days were darkened as the girl was weakened more.

The angels began to watch her. To cheer her they did their best, but gripped by the sudden sickness she laid down to take a rest.

In her peaceful sleeping came along the evil beast that slashed a paw against her throat. On her prize she began to feast.

The dog was thrown beneath the ground for the inconceivable death. So came the name the devil for all the evil left.

Angels took the tiny body for in her was no breath and with a cry of mourning she was laid for a final rest.

I wrote this poem 22 years ago when I was a child.

as tides burry my feet
I remember,

the waves brought life to me, me the spirit
of the past
that has gone by so fast;

algae washes my skin, salt crusts my sorrow
will I still stand and live tomorrow?


drowning in the blue
I see once more the face which belongs to you

AC, I love the melancholy and sentimental feeling I get from this poem! Love this so much! It remind me of the Wingmakers poetry I used to read on the Wingmakers site.

MISSING
As you are gone

Now I realize that I miss you

I miss us and I miss what we once were

In the still of the moment

I can feel the longing gripping suffocating

Missing you missing us missing what used to be




Your voice I can hear echoing in my memory

Like a mantra chanting from the back of my mind

Perhaps you think this was simply an illusion

Of the forsaken reality you try to escape so long ago

In the still of the midnight clock

I can feel the grasp the longing the hollow

I can hear you
I hear your though in silence
But I can no longer see us

Although I still can feel it
As cold as winter night
Freezing my heart
Blinding my mind

Those poison kisses still run through my vein
Burning my eyes with all struggling beauties
To be pushed away, to be hated
And spited on the grave of our memories

I don't know will I ever dance again
As the music of love cutting me alive to pieces
Pieces I would like to bury
In my death

For I will reborn
As ever...

My cheesy poem

Did you ever stop to think,
as your life flies by in a blink,
as you teeter near the brink,
and cause your final stink,
so painful you can hardly think,
did you ever stop to think..

Did you ever stop to wonder,
as you made yet another blunder,
and your world was torn asunder,
from the side, above and under,
you could have done so much better,
if you'd only written a letter,
been more of a go-getter,
or let your spirit be unfettered,

Did you ever think to say,
"That poem is so cheesy,
making things rhyme is easy"
Did you ever think to say?

I think poetry's an outlet,
for feelings that aren't out yet,
write cheesy poems, without regret,
after all, they're only words .. on the internet.

Oceans, continents, great space between.
13 years, each other, we have not seen.
In and out of my life, so must it be.
Together forever, for you and me?

That is what you declared, decades ago.
I have always loved you, as you know.
Your life went one way, and I went mine.
I cherish deeply, all the bits of time.

I get the emails, and hear your voice on the phone.
I feel you near me, but I am in reality, alone.
You made your choice, and I made mine.
The most I get now, is your voice on the line.

I stayed, because of fear.
I lament my lack of faith in you.
I still stay, faithful and true.

i let love go in my early 20's

regret it to this day

and my reasons ending it with him ...i choose not to say now

though through the grapevine back in the day he never said anything bad about me (nor did i about him)


i suppose things pass and are not simpatico

i accept what life gives though wonder

like any woman would and do men do that as well?
