It's even happening down here! Half the homes in my neighborhood have been robbed. If you don't live here and your house is vacant, it is most definitely going to get robbed, even if you have a part time caretaker. It's insane how bad it is here. This country depends on tourism and it was down this summer. The snowbirds are starting to come in now but it was pretty nerve wracking this summer every time I left my house. I have dogs, a fence, barbed wire, bars on the windows, but still . . . they are bold because the police down here are not as organized as they are up there.
