I remember reading that now. Do you have any views on these paths (Eck/Sant Mat)?

After studying all the classics and new stuff, what path would you say best describes where you are?

Regarding Eck, I agree with what Jesus have said in the essay posted. Moreover I prefer original things, and Eck doesnt seems to be original, just a cheap and distorted compilation of ancient teachings, Advaita Vedanta mainly it seems, I havent read his books, and it is misleading, as Jesus have pointed, since it sells what seems to be a miraculous new method for spiritual enlightnement, when actually are just old teachings mixed with his own spiritual experiences, which he did not understand properly and did not perceive it as a culmination of past lives efforts in that direction, but viewed it as an evidence of his new and miraculous method.

About San Mat, by the reading of Wikipedia article, it seems to be a good Hindu sect, based mainly on Bhakti Yoga.
It is good to check if the present members are keeping the ancient tenets.

My favorite path is Raja Yoga, but I dont practice much, I have done some Hatha Yoga practices in the past.
Hatha Yoga is the basis of Raja Yoga, since Asana and Pranayama are two of the eight steps of Raja Yoga.
Also the study of sacred books, which is part of Svadhyaya, one of the five Niyamas, the second step of Raja Yoga, as described by Patanjali and other authors.
