i have to leave for a few hours....but please just consider one thing.

suppose there is an ultimate authority that is universal and connected to each one of us on a cellular level. our current manmade authorities, as well as our discontent with their insufficiencies, act as reflections for our need to know the ultimate truly and fully.

if it(ultimate authority) is going to express itself in a way that creates peace....who is it going to take out? one side or the other...or is that just the trick?

peace begins within and becomes the sum result of your radiating impact on the world around you. it is a verb,...an act...a constant doing and maintenance. I'm not suggesting that there is never a need to defend the herd....just that there is little merit in slaying the messenger....regardless of the messengers knowledge of his or her own role.

is this a case of someone/group using a symbol that reflects the abovementioned authority out of context? playing on prejudices and fears, cultural or otherwise? learned or inherited? trying to incite you ...to temper you ...test you? taunt you into a reactive choice?
