I always love the posts re: the moon. Afterall it was the first word I ever spoke and I was almost 4 years old! Anyway there are some interesting different ideas in here (well until the reptilian comment!) and I noticed someone brought up something I mentioned awhile back in another post: why doesn't our Moon rotate/why do you see the same side all the time no matter where on Earth you are. I am looking into the Jupiter comment because I could swear I heard on History/Discovery Channel that our Moon was "special" and the "only one in our solar system" that was like that. But why I am here is to bring up something I didn't see yet: the fact that the Moon is slowly moving away from the Earth; I can't remember specifics but it was like so many feet every thousand years, etc. Still the Moon controls so much of what goes on here, you wonder what the long term effects will be of this as it gradually moves further and further away. Just a thought...
