What's "better" for the economy - QE2 to flood banks with cash, or UE2 and unemployment?

I honestly don't get how Bernanke thinks giving banks $ would be better than giving consumers $ to spend on necessities. WTF?

Regardless of one's economic philosophy, wouldn't giving money to the people be of more benefit than to a bank? It's a more sinister moral hazard giving the banks more $ to gamble with our lives, than an unemployed person gambling in the state lotto. At least that money is automatically sterilized and only "inflates" the jackpot prizes.
