Quitting weed, how long to until no longer coughing up black stuff?

Update: I drastically cut back on weed (bought an ounce and a half and tore through it a few months ago, but other than that minimal intake).

No more cigs, I found E cigs (vaping). I still worry about the damage I have done, but what can I do about it but try to be as healthy now and in the future as possible. When I have the $$, I plan on buying a vaporizer for when I do smoke weed, but I am happy to report - no more black shit from my lungs.

Because we burn it, instead of vapourizing, there are byproducts, tar, ash and carbon, and it goes into us obviously. Check the stem haha.

has worked for me when I had bad phlegm related to a flu. All I did was place about 4 flowers into some warm water and stirred a little until the water coloured. Within 30 seconds I was roughly coughing/spewing up large volumes of phlegm and it wasn't a proper tea. The leaves are more powerful than the flowers. Good for the lungs too according to herbal lore.
I too have been into herb abuse [abnormal use] for 26 years [43 now] and since quitting, small flecks of tar etc are seen in my spit in the morning ... body wants it out so I oblige. Guess we have to let the body deal with it in its own way and can only assist with patience and other health forming conditions of life relating to us as humans. And the help of mild herbals from Nature to kick start the process if you feel you need it. I seen a specimen the other day but too close to the road for me to use it.
I partially agree with the other posters .... seems more related to tobacco than the weed.
Giving it all up, along with soap, deodorant, shampoo, sunscreen, random lies aimed at selling products, washing detergents, toothpaste, listening to other well meaning but deceived humans, cooked foods....anything they sell that can't be grabbed by your own hands and used in the bush easily and effortlessly, like our companions on this planet, the animals.

And yes, gimme a cave near the creek rather than poisonous, non sustainable, electricity needing boxes you guys call homes anyday ....

sounds like you may have an ulcer, the black shit your coughing up could be old blood. Or you are eating cheap shoe polish. I would recomend you discontinue eating the cheap stuff and buy a premium brand

i smoke weed together with tobacco for 20 years now and i cough up tar all the time,i could have build a freeway from all the tar i coughed up no joke.now not everybody has this most people i know that smoke as much as i do dont.but i think its better coughed up than in ur body.better 2 not smoke it at all ofcourse..

Depending on what OP smokes with, there can be lots of tar (resin). Joints and pipes are the worst; bongs and vaporizers (though they use a lot) are the best way to go.

I smoked weed everyday for 10+ years and never coughed anything up. After I quit about 3 years ago and I did notice that for about 2 weeks I coughed dark flem. I think it's from quitting smoking.

smoke a couple times a month. that is the key.

it will take about 2 weeks, but you cant smoke anything at all, and you have to cleanse your body.
