I have coughed up stuff with dark/black stuff in it and I only smoke weed as well. Recently invested in a Vapor Genie which I would highly recommend or a better vaporizer if u can afford it

I smoked on average, 5 to 10 deep bong hit per day since 1999. I still heal quickly, and rarely (if ever) get sick. I think the black stuff is tar (bong resin), and that my habit of buying "mids" has contributed to my tar situation.

KB (medi's) buds mean less smoke and tar, hence half the people posting don't cough tar up like I do. I always bought mids for roughly 160 oz, and while good, it took more to get where I wanted to be, hence more tar over the years.

Don't worry OP, we've only got a couple more years on this planet, tops.. I'll be mildly surprised if we make it to the end of this year, honestly, but another five-ten years? Forget it...

When I stopped smoking cigs 4 yrs ago..3 weeks after wards I coughed up black tar.. for a month.. I've been running ever since its been 4yrs..This happens..

Yes it is and that is a good thing....unlike nicotine that bonds to the lungs. That resin has to go somewhere besides the inside of your pipe.

If you use glass pipes you know you can clean it simply by soaking with water.....if you tried this with nicotine it would just sit there....try olive oil....it does disolve the nicotine! I was told by some veggie chick I know you can drink a shot (1 oz) of vergin olive oil weekly and it will drew the nicotine out.....makes sense....I have only ever smoked cigars....to cover up my other habit

I smoked green bud daily for over 10 years. I quit cold turkey and i'd say about a month or 2 after my body had purged itself of the foreign bodies.

I'll also say this, after i quit my health got WAY better. No more coughing, 80% less flu, alot less colds, better cardio, better memory, better everything.

I ain't hating on weed, just saying that my life is ALOT better without it.

Must be the weed tobacco. I smoked lots of pot before finally quitting and never got the black lung.

Nah man, it's better. My short-term memory actually exists now. Before i could read a few pages of a novel, and put the book down and only retain portions of it....eventually that shit got old.

Smokin green bud makes you feel like your heads in the fog. Quitting was actually like stepping out of that fog into a clear sky.

I had some great times high, don't get me wrong. I commercial fished Alaska for years and had some awesome times smokin with my bros and adventuring up there, but eventually it was time to grow up and get my head straight.

At around 30 was when i decided that i was done with the stuff. And like i said, i enjoy life more as a whole without it.
