So this brings up a question for me.

1) Is this true also with food? Is our consumption of the physical property of food mean our neurons are becoming the property of food?

The reason I ask is I had a feeling about this about a year ago. So, I set out to wean myself off food. I got to where I was okay with one vegetarian meal per week. Finally, I went longer without food but eventually got in trouble. I had trouble with my bones. So, I've been eating (and finally had to add meat) and the bones are almost back to where they were.

Now that I'm better, I've been cutting back to one meal per day with a smoothie for dinner and some kind of snack for breakfast. My plan is to go vegetarian again as soon as I can.

In the past, when I fasted, it was great so that's why I'm trying to adapt my lifestyle the way I am. I just haven't figured out what works best for me yet.

Edit: 2) And are we really talking about physical or is it actually more dense? I thought somewhere it was said things aren't physical, they are perception.

Any comments? Thanks.

Hi.

1) Yes. As you relate the food with you, so do you 'become' the food.

2) Perception is physical. There is no perception that is not physical.

So is it a good idea to limit what we eat if our goal is to perceive X? And since perceptions are physical, is food even a factor in perceiving X?

You would not intentionally limit it. It would just be indirectly limited through the conditions that you then find yourself in as a 'result' of having a new perspective.

For example, you suddenly become allergic to a certain vegetable. Or meat makes you feel sluggish. Or you become wealthier and can now afford better foods, etc.

Yes, food is a factor. But still a value in your perspective, like anything else.

OK, that makes sense. Thank you.
