So maybe there is some feral part of the human brain even in Western cultures that is capable of killing one's young? Especially when it seems that they can't be cared for?

We went through 3 years of court. He's finally now gotten unsupervised visits. He seems like a different person and swears he would never do her any harm, but I still worry that one day he will snap and come good on his threats. Familicide terrifies me.
