Of course, every system comes down to the operator and the operation. If the need were to arise, I would rather be a good shot with a decent system that a poor shot with an awesome system.
A shotgun is typically considered am urbnan defensive CQB platform. I would most folks would be using it as a home defense platform. Having accesories such as a light, tube extension and/or ammo holder makes it a nice grab and go system for many situations.
If someone is going to training, he/she will most likely configure the system for that training (i.e. daytime shoots would not require lighting, X shot drills will not necessarily require ammo extensions, etc..)
If someone in the bush and being shot at, I would much prefer a different platform than a shotgun. I would not want someone getting that close to rely of the effective range of a shotgun.
