Kindly asking if anyone have knowledge and experience on table PC to share your opinions. Anything at all will be appreciated. I dont think you can call them PCs just yet. The ipad is a big ipod touch and the samsung one is a big mobile smartphone |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1178707 United States 11/29/2010 05:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I can do everything I need with my IPad. Now that OS 4.0 has been released, the iPad will multitask nicely. I use it for everything. Downfall for any tablet PC will be the OS. Windows is not made to provide the tablet experience without another program running over the top of it. Then it becomes sluggish. So, until Microsoft releases a tablet OS, you won't find anything like the iPad. Not a fan boy...just a user. |

I just wonder who makes the best one out there. |

Im typing on it now. Its light and portable, it never gives me any problems, If Im careful to leave the screen brightness down a bit I can get a good 8 hrs battery out of it, cant say enough about multi-gesture, back lit keys at night, its made out of metal so when I get drunk and fall asleep on it, I wake up with a working computer.... 4 years old its never frozen, crashed, acted up in any way, and BEST of ALL the God damn fucking Flash Videos actually PLAY !! nothing pisses me off more than a pinned thread with like 18 pages about a video that i can't watch because on on a stupid mobile device. Fuck that, id rather haul around my macbook. my two cents.. |

All you're gonna find on here are a bunch of iDummies who like to buy things that cost 3 times what they're worth. Go over the tomshardware.com and ask there. You'll get a lot better answers than some rabid Apple fanboi telling you to buy some piece of shit, outdated hardware so you can be a member of their little cult. |

Taz User ID: 849986 United States 11/29/2010 06:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | yeah its kinda fun. I get to play with everything cus of my job... but honestly I have yet to see a mobile device that TRUELY supports flash and does everything you would want to do, that will fit in your pocket. Well maybe the mac air, I havn't played with one of them yet, but I don't think they are worth the money. no CD rom, shitty graphics, etc etc. the iPad is also a joke, its nothing but a giant iTouch. Great for Netflix, thats about it. and also not worth the cash. all things considered, we just arn't there yet with tablets. |

They're quite pricey, but hey, you Apple fans like spending large sums of money on this stuff right? And this one runs a real OS that can actually do stuff! |

If it comes out in the next 2-3 months I will probably buy one. What I want is a really nice, large display (love the PixelQi on the Adam!), an open application environment, good ports, and a form factor that will be perfect for my main use, browsing the Web in a comfortable chair. Hit start Click run type in msconfig choose the startup tab uncheck everything that you don't need to startup right away (most of the shit) Click apply and restart If something is jacked up on startup, just go back in and change it back. It takes a few logins, but this should help tremendously with your 20 minute login in the morning. Cheers! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1177903 United States 11/29/2010 07:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i did the research. What you need: 512mb ram at least Wits a81 processor or equivalent (means arm-8 or better for flash compatibility) Android 2.1+, pref. 2.2 Sd Card Slot G-sensor (accelerometer) You can find these by typing in "android 2.2 tablet" into google, then hit the shopping option. Imo.. dont waste money on a high-end tablet. They are worth it if youre rich, but the tablets for 2-300 are pretty nice too. [link to mp4nation.net] something like that with 512mb - they make them. |

I was checking earlier on HP Slate on the net when I felt like I was gonna need a tablet since I don't have a laptop to carry around. Looks nice but kind of very expensive for that kind of thing. I don't know how it perform though. If it is really good, I don't mind getting it. That's why I came here to gather some information on this thing from you guys who know better. I am looking for options, the best option. The more we talk about this the better all of us are informed and make a sound and smart purchase. Thanks. |
