Quoting: Anonymous Coward 737344guess this is part of the new normal. wtf indeed. this is going to be mildly inconvenient when we have to ship care packages to the us on a regular schedule - should be about mid-2012, if current tendencies are any indication. |

This pattern is so easy to figure out. Real Eyes, Realize, Real Lies..... Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. ~H. L. Mencken~ We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light. ~Plato~ When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic. ~Dresden James~ |

Unfortunately she has to return one or two items. I guess that's now off the cards then and she's stuck with faulty goods from the U.S? Sounds like a scam to me. |

Project_Deimos User ID: 747845 United States 11/30/2010 06:59 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There was a smimilar thread over the weekend and this is what I found: It seems you can STILL ship packages from Japan over 453 grams but it requires personally bringing them to the P.O. and having some type of shipping account (so if you routinely order from companies they would most likely have this anyways) see link below: [link to www.japanprobe.com] I totally disagree with the new restrictions, however it doesn't appear impossible to ship over 453 grams. Just more BS hoops to jump through. How many Billions do we spend on DHS, CIA, NSA, FBI, BATF each year??? And this is the best they can come up with?? "There are known knowns. There are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns. That is to say, we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns, the ones we don't know we don't know." |

Quoting: Project_DeimosIt's not impossible to "ship" anything. It's air mail over 453 grams that is blocked. You can use surface mail, and mail whatever size thing you want. It can go in ships, trains, and trucks. Only airmail is affected. |

This pattern is so easy to figure out. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 737344yup So they restrict due to the last attempt. Too little too late is the motto here. Because the terrorists will move to new methods anyways. So these restrictions aren't stopping terrorism, they are creating domestic terrorism. |
