There is SO much disinformation on this thread!!!
Do yourselves a favor---APPLY!!!!
Everyone's situation is different---from household size, shelter expenses, medical expenses etc
You DO NOT need to be related to someone on food stamps to be eligible for them---that was the stupidest comment I've read so far!!
Call your local social services office and apply. Let a professional assess your individual situation and explain things to you.
