And I was supposed to fly at the end of the month.

This could really "gum up the works" - think of all the business flyers that may have been seen too near a Tea Party rally. Or even who have identical names to those on the 'list'.

Hope they stop this, it is a horrible way for victims of crimes to endure just to go visit someone or take a vacation, they could not nor did not take into consideration that there is a huge amount of people that are victims of crime. The of all people know the crime issues also so no excuse for pat downs, those children you did it to .... all I can say there is no excuse for touching people unless they are suspected of a crime. This just all fits into the State Depts spying on everyone and wanting personal info that they have no right in even asking for.

There is a rumour online about this:

TPTB in our country were planning to eliminate 1/3rd of our nation with some shot (not a gun) reason being they are freedom fighters or constitional peoples, who ever they do not like basically. (whistleblowers, journalists, etc)

I am not so shocked that this died out so damn fast. But here are my questions: If this was really true then why isn't it all over MSM? And what if you already bought tickets for a future flight? What if I fly to where ever over the holidays and when I leave this isn't in effect, but when I (try to) come back home it is in place? Which part of the government is responsible for giving us this permission for flying? Who do we have to call? And how exactly would they be implementing this?

I know... questions that would let to other questions.
