2011 - STEREO Planetary Transits
Good day.

The following is a list of Planetary Transits through the field of view of the COR2 instruments on the two STEREO spacecraft for 2011.
As such it emulates the Sungrazers website for the SOHO spacecraft.
The STEREO site is now labelling the planets as they appear so this list will give you an early idea of when the next planet will appear in the images.
As usual, the times are UT and are +/- a few hours.

Mercury and Venus can transit in either inferior or superior conjunction. The inferior transit is dim compared to the superior transit.
Mercury in paticular will be virtually invisible during a dim, inferior transit.

As with last year, this should be evidence that all is right with the heavens and nothing is perturbing the planets from their orbits.
No Nibiru/Nemisis/Whatever for you.

Have fun.
